Yummy! The súper nachos half size was huge! I love that they added plenty of toppings. The portions are generous. The staff is attentive and kind. The restaurant is clean.

We always go to the Layton location and really like it there. Today however we tried the Centerville location and it didn’t meet our expectations. Service was spotty and everything was swimming in red sauce. A taco is a handheld food and should not be soggy and sloppy. Servers were sent to correct it and were helpful to a point.

I ordered from door dash. I live in Layton and I thought I was ordering from the Layton restaurant. I found out later it was the Centerville store, not a big deal you’ll find out why I mentioned this shortly. The door dash driver delivers my food. I’m dispersing the food to everyone. I find out we’re missing 1 order of 2 beef enchiladas. I call the restaurant and tell them that I’m missing the beef enchiladas. I’m telling all this to Ignacio who answered the phone. He checks and they did indeed forget to send that with the dasher, it happens we’re all human. I asked if they can please give me credit at the restaurant instead of putting the credit on door dash as I don’t use door dash often. Ignacio explains to me that they don’t get the money I spent on the food right away. I asked him what can you do to remedy it? He then tells me that they will remake it and deliver it to me. I tell him that I live in Layton and ask will you really drive all the way to Layton and bring it to me? He responded with yes it’s not a problem and we would like to fix our mistake. I told him thank you so much it’s greatly appreciated. I gave him my address and phone number so he can call me when he gets here. I told him thank you for going above and beyond. This is very good customer service. He drove his vehicle all those miles and used his own gas just to remedy their mistake tonight when in reality he could have told me ithas to credit back on door dash if I want it remedied now or I have to wait until they get the money from door dash. It’s nice to know there’s still good people in the world. Ignacio showed what customer service is really about and he went way above and beyond. He deserves a raise. Thank you so much La Puente I really appreciate it!

Still the best Mex,,,, Anywhere on the planet!
The Verde is unmatched and defreakinglicious.
I’ve been coming here or LaFrontera, or Lorainas (same recipe) since I was a teenager in the 80s.
This food is the gold standard of Mexican food. All others can close for all I care lol.

Food on one plate was cold and the 2 others super hot …
Waitress was sitting at a big table in front when we needed her . Didn’t come back and check on us till we wanted to leave . The food was real bland . Chicken had no seasoning on both plates we had got it with . Overall wasn’t expecting the food to be bland , and service to suck would have stayed home for what we got . Do not recommend this place at all.

Went to La Puente with a friend. Neither of us had been. We sat down & ordered pretty quickly. The menu is decent sized. Everything has priced well. Chips & salsa were good. I thought the salsa was a little spicy, good flavor. I had the bean tostadas, which I didn’t understand it came with two of them. They were decent & portion size was pretty big. The rice was really good! My friend ordered the enchiladas. I tried the red enchilada sauce, I wasn’t a big fan of the enchilada sauce they had. Not a super fancy place, everything seemed clean. Staff was friendly.

Ugh, the lettuce was so old it was almost liquid. The lemon so old it was dry and partially brown. This is how you give folks food poisoning. Such a bummer. Nice young kids run the front end, but last nights “food” was gross. We can’t come back when the kitchen serves spoiled lettuce or lemons.

The food is very filling and enjoyable. It’s definitely worth coming again especially if you want a really good smothered burrito. In full honesty though I wish the burrito was a little bit bigger.

I’m extremely particular about my food not touching, and I wish it wasn’t something I had to stress about, but it matters to me. When I politely asked for two different foods to be separated onto two different plates, the server actually said, “Can we just do it on one plate?” I even tried to be nice and explain I didn’t want to seem picky but that I needed it that way, and she still gave me attitude, saying it was “more running.”
When the food finally came, she practically tossed the plates onto the table. It was rude and completely unnecessary.
So if you have any form of OCD or you need your food a certain way, don’t come here, they won’t respect it. This restaurant needs to learn how to treat people’s preferences with basic respect.

Service was really great but the food was so so. I’ve had better from them before. But the tortillas were really crispy that I had in the tacos. It is very clearly a family-run restaurant and I appreciate that however having the kids running around not well behaved is an issue to me
