La Pina Cantina has fun and casual vibe from the moment you enter. The location is easygoing, not too touristy. La Pina Cantina feels friendly and open.
Staff are energetic and warm, talking like friends. Service is quick but careful. Food is colorful and full of flavor, tacos and drinks are great for sharing. Portion size is good.
Music and atmosphere are lively but not stressful. Seating is comfortable and clean even when busy. Overall, La Pina Cantina is a place to relax and enjoy. 楽しくて美味しい。La Pina Cantina makes you forget time.

Nice place to get a quick bite if you’re on the move. We were here for lunch on our last day waiting for our airport transfer.
Tried their margarita and local beers. Both were refreshing. For apps we had the corn and nachos. The nachos was warm and could have been a little more hot when they brought it out. Otherwise everything tasted good and portions was big. Bartender gave us great service.

The food was okay and a little overpriced for what you are getting (especially the guacamole and chips), our favorite of the dishes we ordered were the local fresh catch tacos which were pretty tasty. The service was fast, but we didn’t receive any napkins or cutlery until we asked the servers; we did appreciate the servers’ honesty when we asked for his recommendations regarding what to order (we were planning on ordering something, but our server kindly suggested we tried another option that might be more worth the price so we did not get disappointed). Overall, I would recommend as a late night snack if you are in downtown Honolulu

This place was unreal probably one of the best tacos I’ve had in hawaii the sauce on the signature. Shrimp taco was amazing. I was gonna take a picture and add it on here but they ate them too fast. They were that good so you don’t get any pictures definitely a must have stopped atmosphere was wonderful with a band playing some great tunes.

This tacos and margaritas spot is located right in international marketplace. The patio has many seating options for small or large groups.
Drinks were tasty. Standard margarita for affordable prices. They do have different flavors available for happy hour.
The food was delicious! Shrimp tacos and Al pastor tacos had so much flavor, probably the best tacos in downtown Waikiki.
The service was slow, so please don’t come and expect to be in a rush. Sit down and enjoy some drinks and people watching.

My favorite Mexican food in Oahu. It can be so hard to find good Mexican food in Hawai’i.. this place hits the spot every time. The nachos are HUGE and so flavorful.. the customer service is always excellent and I just can’t recommend this place enough.

Some of the best shrimp tacos I’ve ever had! Also the house made tortilla chips and queso were so good! Our food came out fairly quick and we were also pleased with the quick check out. We did wait at the host stand for a bit, however it is understandable because it was just two girls running around doing everything and their waitlist system had crashed that day. Wish I discovered this place earlier into my trip so I could’ve came more than once.

La Piña Taqueria is a cool little spot right on the famous Kūhiō Street — perfect if you’re strolling around Waikiki and craving Mexican food. The staff is friendly and service is quick, which is always a plus.
The flavors were pretty decent, but a few things missed the mark. The burritos were on the greasy side, and the steak was more chewy than tender. The tacos were a bit overcooked — the tortillas came out kinda weird, not soft but not crispy either.
Overall, it’s an okay place for a casual bite, especially if you’re nearby, but don’t go in expecting anything amazing. With a few small improvements, it could be much better.
