Lovely food, service & setting. Lovely brunch menu and delicious desserts. Excited to come back to try more of the menu. A great coffee too!

Lovely place and would definitely come here again. All the food was delicious and well presented. For starters we enjoyed the pan seared king scallops, frogs legs and squid rings. We had pan seared calves liver, entrecote, stuffed aubergine and the bouillabaisse. Finally, we ate the chocolate mousse, creme caramel, cafe gourmant and profiteroles.

The food was nice. They had a promotion of 20% off the à la carte menu which was a plus. We had 3 course dinner and the service was good although it could have been better with one more waiting staff. However, it was understandable that they had only one staff on a Monday evening. The atmosphere was beautiful. I went there 4 years ago and loved it, and this year I saw that they have renovated the place, yet unsure how recent it was done. Overall, good and cosy restaurant.

I really enjoyed the spread here, I love French food. I can’t fault anything with this place. The waiter selected beverages that complemented the food and the steak and french onion soup was delicious.

The food was impeccable. We had the 3 course set menu for £33 and it was exquisite. The choices were varied, I had the French onion soup, confit duck and profiteroles. My partner had the garlic mushrooms, chicken stuffed with spinach and the creme brule. Both were incredible. We came with our dog and he was treated with the same impeccable hospitality as we did. It was my partners birthday and they brought out a birthday profiterole for her. All in it was a very enjoyable evening and we will definitely come back!

The food is amazing. I readily come to this restaurant. The staff are always polite and helpful. The french onion soup is amazing. Trust me, try the ribeye steak with vine tomatoes and peppercorn sauce.
I highly recommend this restaurant for value, quality and ambience.

As I was treated to a meal, I’m unsure if the prices reflect the food and service.

However, the food and service were amazing.

I had the onion soup followed by the duck (these are the English names food simplicity) and both were very nice. My girlfriend’s pâté was also nice – according to her.

My only complaint, and its personal preference, is that the restaurant felt a little too modern and “British” rather than a quaint, little inn.
