Definitely not what it use to be. We are 30+ year patrons of this location as passed down from family members. Had the driest famoso burrito ever. Should have taken a photo at the start but this photo shows you. To get more mole we had to pay extra. Say what??? Bland enchilada verde. Asked for spicier sauce and the only available hot sauce is Tapatio but thank God! And suggesting a tip based on sales tax is stupid. We always tip higher when based on food/drink only.

Stopped by with a group of friends for lunch. Good food, generous proportions. I always take a couple to go containers and get 2-3 meals out of a 3 item combo.

One of our very favorite places to eat as a family in Alameda. All of the same, fantastic menu options as the location on Park Street, but much more of a chill vibe and much easier parking. Nice outside dining next to the water, and a really pleasant staff as well.

Food was good but Mexican rice was undercooked. It’s was our first time there and could not find the restaurant at first. Thank goodness for a sign that pointed us towards the back. The menu included a good amount of seafood offering as well as the traditional dishes that we are all familiar with. Service was attentive. There are a couple of locations so when giving directions to your friends, make sure they are given the right one. Anyway, maybe the rice chef was having an off day.

Pencil Azul in Harbor Bay now has beautiful outdoor seating overlooking the water. One of our sodas was served in a cracked glass, but was quickly replaced when brought to server’s attention. The super famoso burrito was enough for two to share.

Great little Mexican restaurant hidden in the shopping center. The chips and salsa served had good flavor. The salsa has an almost chipotle or smoked flavor and decent spice. I highly recommend the Strawberry Limeade, fresh squeezed and full of flavor. Food arrived hot and full of flavor. I was not a big fan of their pastor it seemed a bit dry. The rice on appearance made me concerned I’m not big on corn in my rice but it was delicious. The tamale was very good. The service was a bit slow and originally messed up the order but they made it right. I would come back and try more of their items. Their burritos appeared very large.
