I ordered delivery, the chicken enchiladas are fantastic with rice and beans. The salsa and guacamole are both good. It’s not worth the extra money for the guacamole. It’s too tangy to eat unfortunately

First things first, I want to say that the service was fantastic. Everyone was nice and professional while being really talkative in an engaging way. The aesthetic and decor was nice, and you got a decent view of the water depending where you sit, but it only had one big centered TV that no one sitting backwards can see. I understand that it isn’t a sports bar, but might as well not have one at all. Unfortunately the most important aspect of a restaurant is the food itself, and my God was this place terrible. The carne asada was unseasoned, had a rubbery texture, and a bad aftertaste that just doesn’t sit well. My entree came with a side of fries, and it felt as if there was no salt which made them taste like nothing. I will give this place credit on the rice and beans, but what Mexican restaurant can actually screw that up? The enchilada red sauce was the complete opposite of the other dishes as it was way too salty. I will say that the chicken had a nice texture, but it was sadly drowned in an awful sauce. In case this wasn’t a big plate of disappointment on its own, the bill for 3 people came down to $130 including a 20% tip and tax. This establishment is overpriced, gimmicky, and has some of the worst Mexican food the Bay Area can offer. If you want to waste money and be disappointed then come here.

First time here and it was so good. Parking was in abundance, seating upon walking through the door and waiter at the table fast. Clean bathroom also which is important to me.

Okay…so onto the food. The menu is extensive and they serve breakfast all day!!!

I originally was going to order a shrimp meal, but then I saw the red snapper and I thought any the crispness it might have and I told myself I needed it. It came with rice and beans. I ordered a perfect margarita as well. Everything came out hot and delicious. I enjoyed everything. I even had enough for the next day. The pricing for this spot is great and you get more than enough food to be happy!

They have multiple locations and food trucks! The food trucks are a go-to but when the trucks aren’t open we love going to the restaurants. The view and scenery at this location is super nice and the weather is always great. The food is delicious, especially the street tacos.

We had dinner at La Penca Azul and chose to sit indoors, though outdoor seating is also available. The space is cozy, but the service was excellent. The waitstaff were prompt, attentive, and made sure our chips and dips were always replenished on time. The chips were perfectly crisp and so addictive that we couldn’t stop munching while waiting for our food.

The food itself was delicious, with standout dishes like the burrito, quesadillas, and jalapeño poppers. There are plenty of vegetarian options as well, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our meal!

Definitely not what it use to be. We are 30+ year patrons of this location as passed down from family members. Had the driest famoso burrito ever. Should have taken a photo at the start but this photo shows you. To get more mole we had to pay extra. Say what??? Bland enchilada verde. Asked for spicier sauce and the only available hot sauce is Tapatio but thank God! And suggesting a tip based on sales tax is stupid. We always tip higher when based on food/drink only.

Great little Mexican restaurant hidden in the shopping center. The chips and salsa served had good flavor. The salsa has an almost chipotle or smoked flavor and decent spice. I highly recommend the Strawberry Limeade, fresh squeezed and full of flavor. Food arrived hot and full of flavor. I was not a big fan of their pastor it seemed a bit dry. The rice on appearance made me concerned I’m not big on corn in my rice but it was delicious. The tamale was very good. The service was a bit slow and originally messed up the order but they made it right. I would come back and try more of their items. Their burritos appeared very large.

Stopped by with a group of friends for lunch. Good food, generous proportions. I always take a couple to go containers and get 2-3 meals out of a 3 item combo.
