This place deserves a better rating! I am not talking about the five stars yet, but considering the location, food quality, and portion sizes, La Paz offers great value for your money.
It was obvious that the place was understaffed, and service could have been a bit faster, but our waitress, Emma, was very polite and helpful.
The food was good! Nothing special to mention specifically, but it was fresh and the price was fair.

4Mar.2024 The service was fast and attentive. My food came out hot and it was good. I ordered the Mexican flag. The guacamole and sour cream was fresh and the chicken and rice were cooked just fine. Their version of salsa and chips are very different. The tomatoes were chunks and some onions and chiles with a spicy kick.
We ate al fresco and everything was nice. You can’t keep the homeless people away begging for food while you eat. It was still pretty decent.

The food was good the waitress Miranda was attentive from the jump! She had several tables but made us feel like we were her only table. The house margarita was fire. I consumed 2 of them. They weren’t watered down but had a wonderful combination! The issue I had the wings were great on the salty side. The dip on the side brings it to some balance but still I will return. I don’t care for corn tortillas more of flour for me. I chose fajita chicken meat instead of shredded meat, I don’t eat beef. The taco shell was vey soggy and the cook forgot to put fajita meat in my taco and the waitress removed from the bill! I will return soon

I’ve been coming to this great restaurant over 40 years…It cannot be any better. I love their unique salsa…nachos and combination plates….sit outside on the patio ..Enjoy life and see beautiful downtown Frederick….If you haven’t gone …please go….dog friendly

Overall good experience, chips and salsa were great. Food was good, not great. Got a 2 entree combo and a barbecue quesadulla. The combo was just alright, but the quesadilla was fantastic. Great place to stop for a quick meal, drinks with friends, or a longer family dinner.
