The food came out hot and fresh, and everything was packed with flavor. The pupusas were perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside with a rich, savory pork filling — and the birria tacos were next level. Juicy, tender, and served hot with that incredible depth of flavor you hope for but don’t always get.
Great atmosphere, great service, and outstanding food. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re anywhere near Erie.
La Patrona Restaurant Bar & Grill
My fiancé and I stopped into La Patrona on our lunch break today, and we were honestly blown away. They’ve only been open 4 days, and they’re already doing everything right. Located at 3725 W Lake Rd in Erie (the old Pittsburgh Inn), the restaurant is clean, welcoming, and clearly run by people who care about quality.
I ordered the El Patrón Burrito, and it was phenomenal. This grande burrito was stuffed with grilled steak and chicken, rice and beans, then topped with chorizo, juicy pineapple slices, and grilled shrimp, all smothered in their cheese sauce and green sauce. Every bite was packed with flavor. The shrimp deserves a special shoutout—perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and paired amazingly with the pineapple.
My fiancé ordered the Colossal Burrito, and wow… the name is no joke. This thing was huge (hands next to it for size comparison ). It was filled with rice, beans, chicken, steak, shrimp, and chorizo, then topped with cheese sauce, salsa roja, sour cream (we skipped that), and pico de gallo. It was just as delicious as my meal—bold, fresh, and incredibly satisfying.
The prices are very reasonable, honestly almost too reasonable for the portion sizes and quality—we both said they could charge more and it would still be worth it. The service was excellent: friendly staff, helpful recommendations, fast food (perfect for a lunch break), and the place was spotless.
We highly recommend checking them out if you’re anywhere near West Lake Road. The food is loaded with flavor, the portions are generous, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. We can’t wait to go back!
All the food was authentic, fresh, superbly prepared, and delicious; the hospitality and service was superb. Also, the margaritas are some of the best I have ever tasted!
Will definitely be back again and again.
