We LOVED the atmosphere of this restaurant. The staff were all so friendly- we had Anita as our waitress and she did a phenomenal job, especially making our banana flambé! The food was great and we really felt we were eating REAL Mexican food! The churros and flambé were our highlights! 🙂

Beautiful views with good food and great drinks. Indoor or covered outdoor with the gentle breeze, you cant go wrong. The staff were so friendly and helpful even recommending some great choices when we couldn’t make up our minds. My wife is Hispanic and said they did a good job with the food. You have to eat here at least one time during your visit. You won’t be disappointed.

I came here for about 2 straight weeks only for breakfast. They have a Mexican Chef from the Yucatán península so for me, it was a great surprise to find salbutes, panuchos and the food I grew up with that actually tasted like local. Here is a photo of my favorite breakfast dish: Huevos Motuleños. (Motul Style eggs)

I think their lunch menu is very limited. Although i have not personally tried it myself, everyone i know has recommended having the buffet breakfast as it is much better. I went there on the afternoon of Thanksgiving and the meal was poorly prepared but it was excused since they had a big Thanksgiving buffet to prepare for in the evening. The appetizers and drinks were amazing though.

Server, Anita was excellent. Food was mostly good. Hubby had shrimp fajitas. Very nice. I ordered a red snapper dish which came over cooked, for my taste. But it was quickly replaced with a shrimp dish that was excellent. Flan was nice

Beautiful location on beach with stunning sunset. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty at reasonable prices. We would return here!

Smiling and friendly staff. Fast and high-quality service. Excellent meal (the only downside: the Mexican rice was a bit dry). The virgin mojito was excellent. I recommend it.

Breakfast at La Patrona is something I genuinely enjoy as a local—I eat here often and the food consistently delivers. The cinnamon French toast is a standout and one of my personal favorites, and overall the kitchen continues to do a great job with quality and flavor.
That said, this most recent visit highlighted some service gaps that are worth mentioning, especially from a hospitality perspective. I made a reservation for 20 guests, but when we arrived it didn’t seem like the reservation had been properly noted or prepared for. For a restaurant that welcomes both locals and visitors, reservation management is a key part of the guest experience.
I also believe some front-of-house training would elevate the experience. A warm, composed welcome sets the tone for any meal. Unfortunately, our initial greeting felt the opposite—Alejandra appeared overwhelmed and her visible frustration in front of guests was not ideal for a hospitality environment. (She sucked her teeth)
On the positive side, Jasmine (manager) stepped in quickly and professionally to arrange our seating, which showed strong leadership and understanding of guest care. Liddi, our server, did a great job taking care of the group once we were settled, and Rosanna truly stood out with her friendliness and efficiency—she added a great touch to the overall experience.
In short:
• Food: Excellent and reliable
• Management & servers: Strong recovery and service
• Host stand experience: Area for improvement and training
La Patrona remains a place I’ll continue to visit for the food, and with a bit more consistency in the welcome and reservation handling, the overall experience could easily match the quality coming out of the kitchen.

I was disappointed from the experience here. First day dining there, I had a bad experience from one waiter, whom was rude when I asked about the method of payment and he kinda assumed I wasn’t going to tip. As for the food, it’s not worth it. Too fatty, oily, too many sauces, especially mayonnaise. I wouldn’t suggest dining there. As per the atmosphere, I liked it because it was next to the sea, but nothing else.

Our water Mikuel (I hope I wrote it correctly) was amazing! Very happy! I only have a picture of my steak and surf which was perfect! Steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it and the veggies were not soggy and their home made sour cream was the best! My husband had fajitas and enjoyed his meal as much as I did. Their margaritas are really good!
