Was quiet and the food was ASTOUNDING! Muy delicioso!! The employees were nice and the food was seriously fantastic. The rice was the best rice I’ve ever had, the carne asada tacos were phenomenal too. My husband loved the chimichanga. If we ever come back to visit this city. We will def come back. Come visit this place, you will not be disappointed!!!!

The food is very authentic and delicious here. We came at lunch and every table was filled with Hispanic patrons. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. The guacamole was handmade and the chips came out fried and hot. Pork burrito was filled with well seasoned shredded pork. The garlic shrimp was tasty and the tortillas were piping hot. Even the sides — rice and beans were good and not over salted. The place is a very homey mom n pop kind of place so don’t expect a fancy decorated restaurant. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a hidden gem in Roanoke Rapids. We love Don Juan too, but the quality and authenticity of the food here knocks it out of the park for the same price – don’t be fooled by the unassuming exterior! Everything we ordered was perfectly flavorful and well presented with generous portions. The meat fell off the bone in the caldo de res (beef soup). Also pictured – shrimp in garlic sauce, adobada sopes (fried masa cakes topped with marinated pork), and al pastor tacos. The menu is surprisingly expansive and there are plenty of adventurous options. We’ll be back!

Not gunna lie, we didn’t know what to expect walking into this place, the outside left something desired for sure and it’s not so fancy inside either… But the food was delicious!! Huge plates, very reasonable prices and the food was just what we hoped for. If we were local, it’d be our new spot for sure. Thanks for having us.

We are not local ppl so this really was a great spot to find. Love the fresh food made at the time you ordered the huaraches are delicious I had carne adds on my huarache. My husband ordered 3 tacos and. Torta the tortillas are freshly made. And the torta Cuban did not disappoint. Ten out of ten for me. Sorry we didn’t not take pictures of all the food good portion sizes. What I uploaded picture of is just half of the torta. The parking area is a little small. And there waters are made with real fruit we both had melon water.

I got off the highway in search for authentic tacos…..When I tell you, Baby…….these tacos are delicious.. somebody’s Abuela is back there making these tortillas for sure…I couldn’t even leave the parking spot.. I like to go where my Mexican brothers and sisters go to eat… and they did not miss… perfection. Bring cash.

The real surprise in this restaurant was the presentation of the food. It was excellent. If the pictures on the menu were actually as attractive as the plate was prepared, it would have been an improvement. The food was colorful and fresh neatly arranged on the plate and tasted equally as good. There were slices of avocado that were very fresh and perfectly placed on the plate to make the meal look colorful & appetizing.

The food was surprisingly good after looking at the old building. The service was “ok” because it was tough to communicate with a waiter that didn’t speak any English. We finally just pointed at the menu and he brought us some food. The menu has no prices listed and that was a shot in the dark. The restaurant is very authentic Mexican in its original condition. I believe this building was one of the original KFC restaurants back in the 80s.

Three tacos served as a meal was about $12-$13. Fajitas were about $20 and a Coke was $3.

Fajitas were excellent. We had the beef, chicken, and shrimp combo and it was prepared just as we like it, plenty of rice and not much refried beans, very little cheese, It’s a small modest place but excellent food. Happy we found it.
