La Parrilla Mexican Grill is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Mexican food in the area! I had the birria tacos, and they were incredible perfectly seasoned, tender beef wrapped in crispy, golden tortillas, topped with fresh onions and cilantro. The consommé was rich and flavorful, perfect for dipping. The sides of salsa and lime added the perfect finishing touch.
Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. If you’re craving delicious, authentic tacos, this is the place to go!

I decided to give La Parrilla a try last night. Being from Texas, I’m always a little hesitant to try Mexican food in other states—recipes and flavors can vary quite a bit.
As soon as I arrived, I was seated in a booth and greeted quickly by my server. I ordered a large Pacifico—my go-to—and was served chips, salsa, and a mysterious white dipping sauce. At first, I wasn’t too sure about the white sauce… but after one bite, I was hooked. No idea what it was made of, but I wasn’t asking questions—just kept eating it. Haha.
Then I saw they had a molcajete on the menu, and that sealed the deal. It’s one of my all-time favorite dishes. For those who don’t know, a molcajete is a traditional Mexican stone bowl that comes out sizzling hot, loaded with a mix of meats like steak, chicken, shrimp, and sometimes chorizo, along with peppers, onions, and a bubbling, flavorful sauce. It’s basically a lava bowl of deliciousness. They’re usually big enough for two, but I’m a fat boy who loves to eat—so no problem there.
All in all, the food was great, the service was friendly and fast, and I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

The food was delicious, fast,and fresh. The drinks were on point. In the video I’m showing shrimp tacos (tacos de Cameron) with rice and the parilla steak bowl. Service was quick went in around 4pm on Saturday and was able to be seated immediately. La Parilla never let me down.

Typical decor for a Mexican restaurant. The booths were well maintained and comfortable, a lot better than other places. Everything was clean and it was a pleasant atmosphere. The service was attentive. Our order was taken and food was promptly served. It was hot, delicious and accurate. They have a full bar , which is nice. I got the Long Island iced tea. It was well made. The refried beans were some of the best that I have had. The taquitos are large, 3 is plenty! The guac and pico de gallo were fresh. My boyfriend ordered the carnitas and was cooked perfect. It was enough for two meals. I would definitely go back.

Do not Ordered the chicken wings!! You can tell by the taste they are previously cooked ahead of time and then dropped back in the deep fryer or oven to reheat when ordered. Overly cook and dried out. Waitress never came back to our table once our food was delivered. After the rest of my party had finished eating their food they came by to pick up our dishes and he said is there something wrong with your chicken wings I told him yes they were overcooked and no good. All I got was I’m sorry And and bill for $13

One of my absolute favorite restaurants!! Notice I didnt just say “Mexican”…When I want fast service, consistently good food, thats always served hot and flavorful, this is my go to. The drinks are also great and not watered down. One or two “Blue Motorcycles” will definitely put a smile inn your face!! Because the menu is so large, I try different things and I’m always impressed. A must try if you like “good food”.

I came in with three others for lunch. Our waiter rushed us through service even though there wasn’t a crowd. We were never asked if we wanted anything else, e.i. more food or a dessert. One of my companions takes a long time to eat due to medical issues. He wasn’t even half way done with his food when we received the check. Which took several attempts from our waiter to get corrected because he didn’t pay attention when we said we were splitting it.

Ok are you ready… hold on. THIS IS THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD SPOT EVERERRR‼️Ordered the Nachos Texacano, Burrito Chipotle, Side of rice, fried ice cream, and a Latin lover drink for my lady (who by the way has been bartendending for years). We drove from New Jersey to VA to visit my sister. One of our hobbies is trying new restaurants and leaving detailed and fair reviews. Everything from the way the meat was charred, to the texture of the chicken and steak, to the crunch of the nachos, to the fluff of the rice, and the mix on the beverage was top tier. When we talk impact on first impression… I don’t think a Mexican restaurant has impressed me in the same way. The waiter Mauricio was pleasant and right on time. Let us enjoy our meal, checked in on our refills, checked us out right on time. We went in an hour before closing timw and never felt rushed. We enjoyed the atmosphere 100%. It’s a known fact that when you are in a great mood the food comes out better. While sested, we heard a lot of cheering and laughter coming from the kitchen. And that exuberance showed through the food. Our meal was amazing. WE WILL BE COMING BACK‼️
