Worth the hype and and the stand in line. Freshly baked great taste and great service. We are walked past them in the evening and saw the bakers hard at work… breakfast toast am proved their hard work of love! The line was long but it moved quickly. Takeout and eat in is the same line so don’t be worried you get your food really quick. They have large variety of hot drinks and cold stuff too. A lot of pastries you can try. We loved every thing we ate

Absolutely love this place. Everything we’ve tried has been great, but the croissants and bread are especially outstanding -fresh, flaky, and full of flavor.
You can really tell the quality of the baked goods here. Whether it’s pastries or savory items, everything tastes thoughtfully made. The drinks pair well with the food, and the overall vibe is relaxed and enjoyable for dining in.
Definitely one of my go-to bakeries, and I’ll keep coming back.

Loved the freshly baked conchas. Ham and cheese croissant was flaky and delicious too.
Went there before 9am, there was quite a long queue but the line moved quickly. Staff were busy yet maintained pleasant attitudes.
Coffee was decent, Carajillo yummy.
There were many items on the menu we wanted to try. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

Great spot, but had a line when we showed up around 11am. The bread is fantastic! We ordered the Build Your Own Torta with Birote bread and Al Pastor (onions on side). Amazing bread choice! The pineapple kept the sandwich moist, and the meat itself was very tender. We also ordered the Fiesta Lobster Benedict which had a very good sauce combination. The chocolate concha was just alright. It had a chalky chocolate crust on the very soft and fluffy bread. Also ordered a hot chocolate and latte, both were great.
Service was quick, and there were multiple employees keeping an eye out for finished plates and clearing it away quickly. As mentioned before, there is a line, and the line remained just as long for our hour we were there. Be prepared to wait for great food!

I had a great experience at La Panadería Bakery Café this morning. I went with my family before the lunch rush, and it was my first time visiting. The pastries were the highlight, the bow tie was heaven, the vanilla concha was sweet, and the tequila almond croissant was amazing. We devoured everything so quickly I barely got photos. I also enjoyed their Mexican Cubana torta. We grabbed a tres leches croissant and a Nutella Cruffin to go. The atmosphere was cozy and festive with the Christmas decorations, the staff were friendly, and everything came out fresh. My family enjoyed their coffee, and I loved my green juice. Definitely a spot we’d come back to.

The bread on my sandwich was a bit hard and the croissant also was dry and a bit tough. The service was ok, I prefer the service at the six flags location. Overall it’s ok I would recommend other places to visit. If the owners can match the service from their other store I would give a better rating.

The staff were all super friendly and helpful. We ordered two cheesecakes, an apple empanada, and a Dubai chocolate pastry. We all really enjoyed what we got. They were all very tasty and the pastries were flaky. I will say the place had a sour rag smell to it, which is less than enjoyable. But would recommend the place anyway.

We walked to La Panadería from our hotel around 11 a.m., and the wait was minimal maybe 10 minutes. They have a huge selection of breads and bakery items, all of which looked very fresh and well made. We originally planned to order the French toast, but they had already run out of the bread they use for it, so my daughter ended up skipping it.
I ordered a concha and shared it with her. The texture was soft, the sugar topping was sweet and flavorful, and it looked beautiful. They also have a bakery cart outside, but it was already closing by the time we arrived.
There are two lines you will have to wait on if busy one outside and then you will move to the inside one.Even with that, the line moved quickly. While waiting, the staff was helpful in explaining menu items, which made ordering easier. I also tried a side of fideo, and I really enjoyed it especially with the potatoes added in.
Once I got my number and sat down, my food came out fairly fast. The seating area was spacious, the atmosphere was nice, and it was an easy walk back to the hotel afterward.
Overall, it was a good experience with fresh bakery items, friendly staff, and fast service, even during late morning hours.

Maybe one of the best bakeries I’ve been to anywhere in the US. Phenomenal flavor, textures, presentation is fantastic. Somewhat traditional European in its atmosphere. Open dining with plenty of seating. The indoor dining can also be opened to the outdoor seating . Absolutely great. The setting downtown San Antonio downtown architecture lends itself to a very classuc European cafe setting. Very clean and professional staff as expected. I had a brunch with my girlfriend while visiting from NY. Such a nice treat . This place is a gem. I highly recommend for any occasion. Very classy
