The food was great, everyone was happy with what they got. The drinks were also good and the service was great as well. Overall a really nice restaurant and somewhere I’d come back to again.
We tried the pork carnitas, burrito, quesabirria, and a kids’ meal — everything was delicious. The whole family enjoyed it. We’ll definitely be back, especially to catch a game!
Friday I had the Colorado burrito with a fried jalapeño — the burrito was packed and smothered perfectly, and the red sauce had that deep, slow-cooked flavor instead of tasting canned. The fried jalapeño was the perfect extra kick.
Tonight I ordered enchiladas with queso Diabla through DoorDash, and it still showed up hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The enchiladas weren’t dry at all, and the queso Diabla had bold heat with actual flavor behind it. Even as takeout, everything held up really well.
That says a lot about the food quality. Definitely adding La Palmera to my regular rotation. If it’s good in-house and good delivered, that’s a win.
Outside of the music, the food was good and the staff were very accommodating when I asked to be moved from directly in front of the speakers to the back corner. We got steak and chicken fajitas, and I think the chicken was better than the steak, which I found to be a little overcooked (perhaps just my preference). Flavor of the peppers and onions was great though, and the portion was good for 2 hungry people with a little food leftover.
Overall I’d like to give them another try when they aren’t planning the loud music.
I’ve never experienced this at this restaurant or others, even when staying just a few minutes past closing. It made the atmosphere feel awkward, uncomfortable and overall unprofessional. I think this is something that could be handled better, especially since there were still guests finishing their meals.
We enjoy this restaurant and hope this feedback helps improve the overall experience.
Notably, the most delicious guacamole I have ever tasted in my life! The service is near the speed of light – I literally got my meal when my water came just seconds after sitting down and ordering.
I. WILL. BE. BACK.
