A speakeasy type bar connected to Lita (previously reviewed). Space was simple but stylish. Drinks were unique, thoughtful combinations of different ingredients and flavors that were really enjoyable. Glad we showed up early for dinner in order to check it out.

You can order some drinks and light bites in a great little environment with a great bartending staff or have a drink while you wait for your table next door. Either way, a stop here won’t be disappointing at all!

2024 : After fine dinning at Lita, we and our guest want to try their newly opened and what we thought was billed as a “Speakeasy.” We’ve been to lots of speakeasys in NYC. For us, this one was overly lit, plain and bland (ambience & cocktails).

We wandered into this remarkable bar manned by a team of professional craft cocktail artists. (I don’t use this term lightly). Every delicious drink was prepared in front of us using amazing ingredients. This is one of those magical close-to-shore places that you know–or you don’t. Go into their restaurant, Lita and ask to go to La Otra. They will guide to the unmarked entrance to the bar. It’s that good.
