on January 12th between 3:45 and 4 pm I went into the restaurant to order my usual 1/2 chicken rice and beans and tostones something I did on the regular when I lived in the neighborhood, the tostones took an unusual amount of time to come and they weren’t busy I was there for 15 mins, no acknowledgement from anyone so I decided to cancel the entire, the manager came over after the fact and miraculously the tosses appeared after a 22 minute wait. When your gut tells you something ALWAYS LISTEN, reluctantly I took the food and went home, after emptying the rice and pouring the beans over it and proceeded to eat I bit on something hard, this wasn’t a bone or the usual green plantain you sometimes find in the beans, it was a SCREW, I immediately called the restaurant and asked for the manager who remembered me wanting to cancel and(unsurprisingly) without hesitation went into gaslight mode, I’ve not lived in the neighborhood in 8 years and was unaware the original owners “birdman” was no longer the owner, if I had this information beforehand I would’ve never patronize this horrible restaurant. the new staff is inept and have no concept of customer service, my wish is the 4 bites I took from this contaminated food does not make me sick, I’d strongly suggest not to patronize this establishment as your life is in imminent danger

Very good quality roasted chicken in inwood. It’s a bit over priced but worth it to support this small business. $22 for whole chicken, rice and beans. Neighborhood favorite for many.

Delicious roasted chicken, very flavorful and well done! The mojo de ajo is to die for. The rice is okay, a little hard, not soft and moist.

Best Dominican food!! My favorite is chicharron de pollo (not breaded fried chicken with bone). Grilled chicken, fried shrimp or shrimp with garlic sauce, fried fish, mofongo, tostones… everything is good!!!

My friend and I went here for a weekend lunch. It looked so unassuming from outside but inside was lively. We got the mofongo de queso and the shrimp special and loved every minute of it! Very nice waitress too

I came here with my mom and ordered chicken to stay. It was good and so we ordered chicken to take out. It was put away at home and the next day the chicken smelled rotten. I would never go back here and I don’t recommend anyone ordering take outs..

PORTIONS WAY TOO SMALL. I ordered chicharron de pollo a while back. The order came with rice and beans and maduros. For $30. There was so little food that we were left hungry. We even called to make sure they hadn’t given the lunch special size but nope. Well, this evening we made the mistake of ordering again. Bistec encebollado, large beans, tostones (no rice! – the rice here is not good, the moro tasted burnt). The order ALSO came out to $30. And the portion of bistec is RIDICULOUS. They took up space with salad and onions. The bistec has no sauce and looks unappetizing. We called again and again they say that’s the portion size. Never again will I order from here it is a rip off, the food is not good enough for these prices.
