This is a very good option for closer-to-authentic Mexican food. They used to serve menudo, but no longer do. They have redone there menu as well. The portions are large and things like Mexican street corn and a cheesesteak burrito are available. It has gone outside of traditional Mexican food which is still good, but I like the deep culturally traditional food. The salsa that comes with the chips is fresh and taste great. The China and plates are of quality. The service is bilingual, attentive, polite and clean. A uniform exist but some wear it and some don’t. The air conditioning is in the norm. The parking is good but could be larger. I’m happy with the place and have come here for years. It’s better then other Mexican restaurants and close to a Spanish area of Hanahan and North Charleston. It is worth a visit I assure you

Now you’re talking! We Really enjoyed this Mexican restaurant with enormous margaritas and fresh flavors!

Since we moved to Charleston two years ago from Colorado, we’ve been searching for good Mexican food and this is, to date, the best we’ve found. Not as many “combos” on the menu, but a lot of the tried and true favorites.

Definitely worth the trip!

Cool little spot for authentic Mexican food. Tacos, margaritas, and chips all were fantastic. Bartender was attentive and made sure to pitch the 5 dollar margs.

Great place to enjoy some tasty seafood made with a Mexican twist. The flavors pop and the freshness is evident with each bite! It’s a small, casual place in a strip mall. The service was spot-on, we never had to wait long when we needed something. It is my son-in-law’s fave spot in Charleston – I hope to be back soon!

Food was amazing! I love they offer several types of salsa to try when they bring the chips out. The food was delicious but the street corn was AMAZING! Everything came out quickly, the staff was friendly and very helpful! Will be visiting again!

I’m probably more harsh on Mexican restaurants than most, being a native Texan. This place was just okay. The drinks were weak and the food fairly bland. However, the grilled corn was really good. It was pretty pricey for what we got ($38 for a salad, two adult beverages, and the side of corn).

They were set up COVID-19 ready. Enter and exit only doors. We used our phones to take a picture of the scan bar to access the menu, so no menus to wipe and sanitize or even paper menus. Server’s had face masks not all were wearing them properly. Our meal was good, not great. We had burritos, one was dry and inconsistent flavor throughout. Cream of chicken was good. Didn’t use the bathroom. Restaurant was very clean, arrows on the floor to lead the way. Social distancing at the booths and tables. Service was very good.

Dropped in today with my client for a quick lunch and we both ordered the crazy beef taco salad. It was fantastic.
Left with a full belly and slipped into a foodie coma. (No I didn’t enjoy any margaritas).
With all this cold weather, I was happy to enjoy a hot meal but healthy bc it was a salad. ROFL!
So good!

This is by far the best and most authentic Mexican I’ve had in the Charleston area and possibly my whole life.
I wanted to give this place 10 stars. The house made salsas and hot sauces are so good I’ve been here two days in a row. The street tacos make you want to get up and just slap somebody. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff was friendly and quick to be at service. Ive driven by this place a hundred times and walked in by chance. So glad to have found this spot.

What can I say, the reviews definitely did not steer me wrong with this place.

As odd as it’s going to sound, not all mexican food is created equally just like all people who like Mexican food are not created equally. This is what makes this restaurant definitely a step up from their competitors.

Myself, I’m Mexican and I love “authentic” mexican food. The boyfriend is white and prefers more of a Tex-mex flare.

Upon ordering, the first thing they asked when he ordered was if he wanted the tacos Mexican or American style. That’s when I realized this place had it all figured out! He will never be the cilantro and onions kinda fella.

I ordered the street corn, sopas al pastor, and a carnitas street taco. He ordered 2 beef soft tacos with rice and beans. The food was EXCELLENT! One thing I really loved was they brought out the salsa, which to me was a bit bland, but he loved it. Here’s the game changer – they also brought out a variety of authentic Mexican sauces. They were exceptional!

If I had to find a critical component I would say it’s probably the chips – they were a bit hard for my liking. But a chip is a chip… it was still good with the queso.

This restaurant has it all, for everyone! Finally a restaurant that will cater to both sides of Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine.
