Cute and great little hole in the wall place for foods. Stopped by here for breakfast since was in the area. So nice to see the waiters wearing white shirt and cap/hat…just bring back the good old days that I heard so much or see on tv/movies. The inside seating is small since it right next to the cooking area plus cashier/storage place. I opted to seat outside on the window counter that over look the cooking area and right next to the pastries. I order a cup of coffee and the Mexican breakfast HUEVOS CHORIZO Y PAPA…and it was delicious. I normally don’t eat nor like bean but I ate them all. Plus the cost of these two was $13 total. You couldn’t beat that. I wanted to order more but the portion is big enough that I’m full for most of the day. Easy and nice service by the waiter. Love watching the cook prepared the foods. It’s an old place and I’m sure full of history and very colorful decor, just a joy and cozy vibe. Love it, if I live nearby, I would just come here for breakfasts at least 3-4X for sure. Their other menu is typical but seeing the cook prepped for it makes me want to go back and check it out, for another time that is. Come check it out and support this place and others in this historical community.

Food here is really good. Even though their service is really nice, they don’t have a good streamline system to churn and turn. We waited almost an hour to get two tacos and a drink. If they had a better system on tending to the customers I would totally come back but that’s a deterrent for me. It’s a very tiny place and they have limited seating and it’s very crammed where you order to go.

Best place to stop and eat on Olvera Street if you have a small group.
All of the food is delicious!
Best way to order is lots of small plates and to share with a friend. I like to sit at the counter and watch them cook the food, and order whatever looks good.
The staff are all so nice and helpful!

We loved this place so much, we went twice in one day! After taking the train in, we stopped for a quick snack—2 taquitos for just $4. The food was delicious, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier, especially Diego who really stood out with his warm service.

The atmosphere is charming, tucked right in the heart of Olvera Street. After exploring Chinatown, we came back for dinner and were just as impressed. I had the #7 combo—2 taquitos, rice, beans, and a chicken tamale for only $13! My husband’s burrito was also generously sized and the same price.

This place offers incredible value without skimping on quality or service. While other spots nearby seem to overcharge tourists, this gem keeps it real. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

This place is HANDS DOWN. The BEST home-cooked meal you will EVER have here in the heart of LA.
I had combination plate “0”. Taco, tamal, taquito. The taco a picadillo. That ground beef was so good. It all felt like I was sitting next to my mom talking and eating. The tamal was tamal de puerco. That masa was INSANE. So good. Yet so soft.. And the puerco (pork). The flavor was uncanny. Soft. Yet packed so. Much. Flavor. Now… The Taquito.. The overall taste of the fried tortilla, and the shredded beef. I swear my mom made it. This place deserves so much love.
But any who. Come here. Try it out. And show some love. And enjoy!!
