Had an exceptional experience coming here! Customer service was super friendly and helpful. The shop was very clean and tidy. Their displays were perfect and colorful! We ordered horchata lattes and a few pastries! Sooo delicious!!! This bakery and coffee shop is great! I’m so sad it’s so far from where I live but if I’m in the area, I would definitely be back!

I’ve been to other La Monarca and enjoy their food/drinks. This spot is just as good or better than the others.
I had their iced horchata matcha and chicken mole burrito. The drink was phenomenal and the burrito was very delicious, didn’t look too good but the flavor of the mole was excellent. Overall a great lunch.
I’d definitely come back there to try their other menu items. A solid location with a spacious area to bring a laptop and enjoy a snack/drink.

Sheesh…what can I say?! I absolutely love this establishment!! GAEL, MELANIE Y WILFREDO son lo mejor de lo mejor!! They’re extremely kind, knowledgeable of all goods served and always greet me with a hello & beautiful smile!!
Today Gael was working the register when I arrived and as I placed my order he offered me a sample of their newest cinnamon cookies….ummm yummy!!!

So so good…..this spot has become a staple in my weekly routine while here in Los Angeles County! My Bakery of La Monarca has to be the Uptown Whittier location!! Hanne & Eva & Jesse & Christian are some of my fave faces when I step into heaven lol I mean I grew up on Cafe de Olla & I kid you not…. They serve the best Cafe de Olla y pan dulce… And don’t get my started on the ice blended Mexican chocolate omgggg! It’s to die for!!
For lunch you’ll see me scarfing down a flavorful burrito or a moleta con soy chorizo!! The salsas are fire too…
K! When it comes to ordering a cake for your next special occasion, I recommend their TIRAMISU!!! Sighhhh it’s my all time fave!
Aguas frescas are always a hit and my fave is La Agua de Jamaica!!!
Also, if you’re ever unsure about what to order, don’t fret! They’re notorious for letting you sample just about anything on their menu!!

I come to this place consistently every 6 months.And the quality has not improved.I am so discouraged how the overprice bread and coffee is continuously rising while the quality is diminishing.It is bakery reminds me of something you would pick up from walmart.

Horrible customer service. Came in and a female in glasses at the cash register completely ignored me. Waited for almost five minutes with no acknowledgemen. Decided to get a bread and a woman comes in and approaches the register and the girl immediately greets her and takes her order. While completely ignoring me still. Guy in the back had to come out and take my order. I have been a regular here and bought cards for clients here. I will never do business at a Monarca again. When I told her about how rude that was she said please feel free to review us or call whoever you want , with a sarcastic grin. Disgusting service.

Very warm and welcoming environment. The fresh squeezed orange juice was the best. The cafe de olla is made with coffee, cinnamon, and brown sugar and even I liked it ( not a coffee drinker)
