I really wanted to give this restaurant five stars but there were just a few things that kept me from that perfect rating.
First, the service is okay. Mostly attentive but I had to request a few too many things that should’ve been addressed, and mostly are at other restaurants.
We ordered the guacamole with chips as an appetizer, and that was some amazing guac. Super fresh. Really enjoyed that.
I ordered the beef birria tacos and they really fell flat as far as flavor goes. Ingredients seemed very fresh just there was really no flavor. The side of rice and beans were on point. Very good.
The table we were sat at was extremely wobbly (see video). It wasn’t until the end of our meal that I saw what was supposed to be stabilizing the table, a Mickey Mouse vinyl tag.
The restaurant as a whole is very clean and presents well. The small things I didn’t like wouldn’t keep me from returning. We’ll be back I’m sure.

Definitely recommend La Mona Rosa for some quality Mexican cuisine! The queso fundido is SO good! The Enchiladas Suizas are also an excellent option for a flavorful dish that’s not too heavy! I don’t think there’s any way to go wrong here, as everything I’ve had has been awesome! I would recommend a visit if you’re looking for a great experience off the strip.

Came for brunch and ordered the chilaquiles verde and bottomless mimosas. The mimosas were strong and served made sure they flowed steadily. But I was disappointed in the chilaquiles. The dish was a lot soupier than expected. There was entirely too much verde sauce compared to the other elements of the dish.

We had our wedding reception here, and it was incredible! The food, drinks, and service were all top-notch. Everyone agreed that the carne asada was the best they’d ever had, and the queso fundido was amazing as well. We will definitely be coming back our next time in Vegas!

My friends birthday brunch last Sunday! When we first step through the door we were greeted immediately by the staff. We were seated in a booth and it was nice and cool despite the heat., The atmosphere was amazing. The music was great. Make you wanna dance. Our server was the best. Amazing customer service. The food was good. We had the chicken tacos and salsa and chips and also mushroom tacos. Drinks were great I am not a heavy drinker and got a seltzer.
Had a lovely morning! Thank you

❤️ This Restaurant has a chill, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, along with very genuinely friendly and courteous staff. Kevin was the best!!!

I bet it’s also awesome after dark, they’ve got a huge mirrorball on the ceiling, and a gold mirrored-monkey spinning right below it. I can hear happy, Hoppy-poppy Latin Urban Reggaeton music rocking the house

Now – the Food? IT’S CRAZY AMAZING!

We started with the yellowfin ceviche. This dish was served in a huge bowl with a plate of homemade fried tortilla chips – BEST CEVICHE I HAVE EVER HAD, and Jim agrees (we ate it before I thought of taking a picture )!

Main course is Chilaquiles Verde and chicken for me and Mollete for Jim. John had juevos rancheros, Shawna had birria, and Jax had a chicken quesadilla.

To say everyone loved their food is a complete understatement- Jim wanted to go into the kitchen and hug everyone, and pledged his loyalty to never eat at any other Mexican restaurant ever again.

Our heartfelt kudos to the staff and kitchen of La Mona Rosa, our experience with you all today was a most pleasant and rewarding one.

Lunch here was a such a great choice! Thank you to my SIL, Shawna Brodie, for spotting this place (just off Fremont Street on 6th in Downtown Las Vegas).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Y’all *STOP HERE* if you’re ever on Fremont Street!!!!

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time! First, the atmosphere welcomes you into what feels like, abolitas home! The service was spot on and left us wanting for nothing! But the food; the food was outstanding! Every bite of every dish was better than last. From the first mouth watering chip, to the unique mole, to the best flan my husband has ever had! Chef Isidro prepares inspired meals that will transport you straight into native, regional flavors and traditions! Today we celebrated my daughter’s and husband’s birthdays for brunch! We will definitely be back for dinner soon!

We went Sunday durinng Cumbia Brunch and the music was good. The food was ok. Some dishes better than others. We started with queso fundido added chorizo and was really good, the house guacamole also really delicious. We had chips and salsa and their salsa was so good.
Some of the dishes ordered were enchiladas suizas, poblano taco, enchiladas de mole, pozole and green chilaquiles & french toast. I had the green chilaquiles added steak and the added price for steak was $15 on top of $19 for the dish. $34 for that dish. If you added chicken it was $6 huge price difference.
We had bottomless mimosas and since we where a big group and just about all of us had bottomless she brought us 3 pitchers at a time. Our server was Lucy and she was phenomenal!

Beautiful restaurant and their live music was a nice touch. Lots to look at. Drink menu is pretty lovely. Tacos were ok but the cost felt offset by the musical guest that was playing that day. It was a vibe. We would definitely come back.

Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Mexican fine-dining.
