The best egg drop soup I’ve ever had, there is tofu and scallions, along with onions inside- very hearty compared to most.
Had garlic chicken this visit and it was great! Next time going to try dumplings which were recommended ☺️Also the cocktails are unique and very tasty.
Friendly And outstanding service. There are a few private rooms for smaller parties as well. Great vibe and comfy chairs!

The atmosphere is great, excellent restaurant! The restaurant looks clean and have three very good size private rooms!

As soon as we walked in, we received very good services from host, to staffs to our waiter
Most of the food were excellent! We liked the walnut shrimp, the lobster noodles, the fish, the hot plate beef and the kids loved the chicken lol
We were a little worry since its in down town, as soon as we walked in they have a huge bar but the Chinese food weren’t bad at all!

This place is really a hidden gem, one of my friends recommended this place about a year ago, and I have now gotten my family and other friends to try it once, and all of them have loved it. The combination of welcoming appetizers, tasty mains and delicious drinks all swirled together with quick service and a wonderful staff lead to this place being a wonderful place to stop by to eat a great meal, snack on a couple potstickers or if you are just looking for a tasty Hibiscus Spritz. (a really good drink that they serve made with Lychee and sparkling water)

As soon as we walked in, we received EXCELLENT service from ALL the staff, start to finish!!!! The food was very delicious and fresh. I can’t forget about the tasty drinks they have as well. The restaurant looks very clean and they also have 2 or 3 private rooms.
My family and I can’t wait to go back.

Shang’s Noodle used to be a delight, and a solid option for Chinese food in La Grange. Now La Mom is in its place, and the food is as underwhelming as the new name. The crab Rangoon managed to survive the transition with about 75% of the flavor before, but the other dishes are edible at best, and insultingly bland. We ordered a chow mein, which instead came with an udon noodle. That’s a disgusting difference, expecting the crispy, flavorful chow mein and getting soggy earthworm-like udon noodles. We called the restaurant and they said it was correct, and then when pressed said the noodles were changed. They should’ve changed the picture of the chow mein as well. The red chili tofu tasted of earth and chilis, while the fried riced tasted like it was made by a man named Carl from Nebraska. Beyond basic and underflavored. RIP Shang’s. Avoid La Mom unless you love ordering underflavored disappointment for dinner.

Had a little dinner party for 8 in one of the private rooms last week. It was absolutely fantastic!! I received 4 texts thanking us before we even got home.
The sizzling beef and the dumplings in chili sauce were a huge hit. My husband said he’s never had better orange chicken, juicy and tangy. The service was spot on. Make sure to try the lavender colored Piña colada’s! They are delicious.

We ordered takeout of Walnut Shrimp, red chili chicken, and lobster salad. The first thing that struck us was the incredibly generous portion sizes. But the real highlight was the exceptional taste. The chicken was tender and juicy, the shrimp were massive and succulent, and the salad was fresh and crisp. It’s rare to find consistently good and fresh-tasting Chinese food. This meal far exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely be returning.

Delicious! Everything we had was amazing! If you are looking for good quality Chinese food this is the place to come! We loved everything we ordered and the staff are super friendly. The place is very nicely decorated and clean. We will definitely be coming back soon.

We ordered delivery so cannot speak to service or atmosphere, but overall this restaurant is really lacking quality and flavor. Their chow mein comes with Shanghai noodles – thick and bland, not the crispy thin noodles that are traditionally served with that dish. We also ordered the crab Rangoon, fried rice, mapo tofu and all seemed a bit under seasoned and all lacked flavor. They didn’t provide any traditional sauces aside from soy, which may have helped to offset the blandness. Pretty disappointing overall.

Just discovered Shang Noodle and so pleased to find a really excellent Chinese/Asian restaurant nearby! The food was high quality and absolutely delicious and the menu offered many unique and different options to try.
Our party of 4 had the Cumin Lamb, the Dry Sizzling Pot (w chicken), the Short Ribs (chef special) and the House Special Chow Mein. Each were really tasty, fresh, expertly cooked and nicely presented.
We also had two of the unique cocktails: the Ube Colada and the Lychee Martini – both really yummy!
We then had two of the desserts: the molten chocolate lava cake and the salted caramel cake, which were also fabulous.
The service was really friendly too, and when they discovered it was my husband’s birthday, they brought out a 3rd dessert on the house!
The decor was modern and classy, the seating was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!
