Fantastic local Mexican restaurant with Oaxacan specialties like tlayudas and a flavor-packed molé. The restaurant is hidden in the back of their supermercado but it is absolutely a full-service sit down restaurant. It seems to be primarily full of local regulars and people swinging by for takeout orders. Prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious. The staff were also extremely friendly. Overall, La Mixteca Oaxaca was a 11/10 experience and I will definitely be back soon!

We found this place by accident just driving around and decided to stop in. Our waitress were fast and friendly. The food was homemade and fresh. We got chorizo nachos, a wet burrito with asada and then ordered extra homemade chips and pico de gallo. We were HAPPY FULL AND had to -go’s for under 40.00. Worth trying.

You know the food is going to be incredible when they put their salsa in little drug baggies lmfao. It’s much too spicy for me, but absolutely delicious and smokey, perfect for someone who does like heat. I didn’t try the green, but it was similarly packaged and I just think that’s so cute
I was so excited to find birria with goat; that was the only way I had ever had it before moving from LA, but it’s hard to find around here for some reason. It was so good, and you get a huge portion, with tortillas too! So you’re really getting what you pay for, because there’s a lot of meat.
I ordered pickup so I didn’t eat there, but the one woman I interacted with seemed perfectly nice. The vibe inside is very classic Mexican restaurant: music, bright colors, simple tables and chairs.

Enchiladas con mole were delicious. Entomatadas were actually spicy and flavorful. Michelada was great, but $10. Overall a good experience.

I genuinely really love this place, the food is amazing and the atmosphere gives a real authentic Mexican restaurant. The waitresses was very sweet, such hardworking people! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for those who are looking for an authentic classy Mexican restaurant.

From Texas and craving Mexican food. A little research on REDDIT and I found. Review by a local born and raised in Oaxaca. He shared that the food at this restaurant was authentic, like what he was raised on as a kid.
Do I jumped in the car with my son in law and off we went. Walking into the restaurant I immediately thought it looked just like small family owned restaurants I have enjoyed all over Mexico.
A quick look at the menu and it is easy to see that this is not a throw down Mexican American restaurant. This is the real deal – a true Mexican restaurant.
I ordered the Chicken mole and my son in law had green chicken enchiladas. We had guacamole on the side and a green and a red salsa. OMG – it was all fantastic. The mole had a deep, rich and complex taste – incredible. The enchiladas were perfection. The guacamole was thick with big chunks of avocado – not a blended or over processed sauce. To drink – fresh juices that were absolutely delicious.
So from someone that has eaten Mexican food all over Mexico, trust me, you will find great food here at a good price. Give it a try – experiment a little – its all good,

Amazing Oaxacan (Mexican food) also the price is more than fair! If I were them I would charge more. Food is super fresh and is great for take out and reheated. Will keep coming back.

Very sketchy little place. Both waitresses sat down and talked/scrolled on their phone instead of being of service. Ate here two days ago then went back today for the exact same thing and was charged $8.00 more then first time. When I asked the waitress she argued they haven’t changed their prizes in 6 years? Food was ok but service is no good. Definitely not going back.
