Awful enchiladas. I’m sorry, but this string cheese wrapped in a tortilla, with enchiladas fixings and sauce just thrown on top… are not enchiladas. I understand takeout enchiladas can get soggy. But string cheese wrapped in a tortilla, is not an enchilada.

Came here for dinner with 2 other guests and the restaurant wasn’t to busy inside but the take out was busy. It seems take out is where they really thrive but I enjoyed the sit down experience as well. The dining area is small, maybe about 10 tables but the service was good and he the waiter was attentive. I got the tripe soup, and grilled chicken platter, my gf got the birria tacos, and her son got the quesadilla, we also shared guacamole and chips. The chips were really good, you can tell they were freshly made and was hot, the guacamole was tasty too. My dinner was great, the soup had great flavors and the tripe was tender. The chicken was flavorful and came with rice beans. Everyone else enjoyed their dinner, I even snuck a piece of the birria and it was really good. The meat was tender and the broth was delicious. Definitely would recommend this place for great Mexican dishes.

I was googling around to find very specific tacos, and I came across La Mixteca and that they made these delicious tacos. Their Birria tacos BLEW my mind. I almost cried from happiness. I highly recommend visiting them and ordering their tacos. Also from my picture, you can see a decent amount of cilantro on there. I am not typically a fan of cilantro but I went with it for the purpose of the flavors and how it was supposed to taste — the cilantro did NOT overpower the flavor of the meat and the consommé. I barely even tasted it which again- blew my mind. Go get these tacos!

Very authentic Mexican food. It is cash only but the prices a very affordable for a lot of food. If you order any quesadilla they will make the tortilla from scratch and it is a huge quesadilla. On weekends they have tamales, deliciousness. This is a must go when in the mood for real Mexican food.

Loved it! My boyfriend and I came here on a whim for lunch. The service was fast but the food was AMAZING. Just a heads up, it’s cash only but the food is incredibly affordable. We ordered steak tacos and cheese flautas, next time I go I’m going to try the milanesa des res torta.

The best tacos anywhere in this area, maybe even dare I say in all of north Jersey. Any place close by that claims they have Mexican food is lying to themselves. This spot is the real deal. We drive 20 minutes out of the way to come here. The prices are really good, and the people who work here are very nice.
