Reviews
First, the restaurant itself is quite pretty inside—elegant and well-decorated, making it feel like an upscale place. The service was also good, professional and attentive.
However, portion sizes were on the smaller side, which wouldn’t be an issue if the quality really stood out, but that wasn’t exactly the case. The Bœuf Rossini was well-executed, and the foie gras added a nice richness, but I didn’t find it to be noticeably better than what you’d get in a solid, non-upscale restaurant. Same for the Île Flottante, which was decent but nothing special. They try to make things more creative, but in the end, it didn’t feel like it justified the price.
So in general the quality/price ratio just didn’t work for me. It’s clearly positioned as a higher-end restaurant, but if the dishes don’t taste significantly better than what you’d get at a more casual place, the extra cost feels unnecessary.
Overall, 3/5—a nice setting and good service, but portions are small, and the food doesn’t stand out enough to justify the upscale pricing. Not bad, but not something I’d go out of my way to try again.
There aren’t any printed menus so you will have to either read the written version on the chalkboard or follow as they explain each item. Prices are aligned with the quality.
We had a great time.
Service is great. The atmosphere itself is great. There is s huge parking on the opposite side of the street.
Reservation advised.
