Very long wait for a Sunday evening to get seated. There was only 1 party ahead of us. Then another long wait to be waited on. Eventually, we were waited on by Lindsey… she was awesome!!! Took our order.. got it perfect! She never wrote anything down. Food was great! 1st time here. Will go again. Garlic knots are great!! Was a large amount of food. Took leftovers home. Yummy.

Really tasty. The garlic knots are a great appetizer, and the pasta sauces are pretty good, though kind of watery. But save some knots to soak it up. Good stuff overall.

As usual my order was screwed up. Typical of this place: Tasty food when they get your order correct, but because they continually display a lack of interest in getting orders correct it always leaves a bad taste- especially with take out when you don’t discover the mistakes until you get home. Dine in or always check your takeout before you leave. Oh, and be sure to check your change if paying by cash. Some staff at the register think it’s perfectly ok to pocket your change- without asking!. Last- on take out orders the salad is usually lame. Mostly old lettuce and not much of it.

La Mezzuluna definitely tops most other restaurants in the greater Charles Town area. The food is higher-quality with orders having large serving portions. However, despite quality and serving size, the prices are a bit steep. As an Italian restaurant, its options for vegetarians is surprisingly limited too. The restaurant itself is small and cozy with nice decorations that help establish itself as a dine-in option that is slightly above casual. Ordering to-go is easy, yet because of how small the building is in addition to the narrow hallway entrance, seating of any kind for those needing to wait is not available.

We have been to this establishment several times,in fact this is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area…Waitresses are always so friendly and prompt, the garlic knots are delicious and every meal I have gotten,which have been several are all delicious!! Called for take out. Had an extremely rude hostess answering the phone. We asked for vegetarian options and they said they don’t have any. On their menu there are plenty but she made it sound like they had to make special accomodations for our meal. I don’t know how the meal is but I would not spend money where they in this day and age do not understand vegetarianism

Four of us dined there and we were beyond pleasantly surprised. The food and service , despite the fact that they were very busy, were excellent!! Should we return to the area this is our first dine out choice !!
