Desserts: 8/10
– Ice cream: 7/10 (called 2 scoops but only have vani and choco as flavors to be chosen, so basically we had no choice)
– Honey donut with ice cream: 8/10
Service: 5/10 (There were only us and one more table across the whole restaurant and still no one paid attention to our table when we waved. We had to come to the bar to order)
Music: 10/10 (calming music)

Really liked it – I cannot understand why this place isn’t busier? The service is great (attentive, not over the top), meals came out in good time, food was delicious (with really generous serves) and the prices are very very reasonable. So it was odd that we were only one of about 5 occupied tables (which impacted the atmosphere score) but seriously: locals and those visiting Hobart seeking a restaurant open on days many others aren’t, wanting a great menu with lots of variety should seriously give this place a lot more love!

Food was pretty good, we had pizza and pasta, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was very strange, it’s a very large restaurant that was not very busy and has weird, dated, 80’s era decor.

We ordered a green salad and aglio e olio spaghetti. The salad was okay, but the aglio e olio spaghetti could have used more garlic and should have been cooked a little longer in olive oil, garlic, and chilies. As it was, it tasted like the spaghetti had just been taken out of boiling water and mixed with olive oil and parsley. The garlic flavor was missing. The place was empty when I walked in around 8:30.

Has the feel of a large food hall. Waiter was lovely. Barman couldn’t tell us how long the red wine bottle had been open. Once we tasted it— clearly a few days too many. Food was okay. Pasta appeared to be from a packet, not homemade. Back to Da Angelos, Peppina or Don Camillo for us from now on.

Chose this restaurant because I was looking for some good Italian without feeling inclined to go to one of the fancier restaurants in the area. This is quite a large restaurant with a bar area at entry. Let me first say that the service is exceptional. On more than one occasion the staff came by our table to check if everything was alright or we needed anything. We ordered a fairly simple meal of garlic bread which we shared with an entree size penne alla matriciana and a medium sized Italian pizza. The meals arrived in a flash and were all very tasty and hot. And this was plenty of food for the two of us. Decor is simple yet colourful and comfortable. Definitely worth a try.

I ordered the prawn spaghetti on Uber Eats tonight and was sorely disappointed. The quality of the prawns did not match the price of the dish and the pasta tasted like olive oil with a hint of chilli. I am sure there are other items on the menu worth having however I am extremely frustrated that I will likely not be able to receive a refund via Uber. I genuinely am not sure if I will even eat it as I have lost my appetite completely.
