My favorite is the Macha coconut margarita! That is my go to. Its a mexican place. The food is freshly made. The service is always a plus. The atmosphere is vibrant with colors and decor. It is a nice place to sit back and enjoy good food with good company. I love the corn and the sweet plantains. You need to eat here. Their are margarita pitchers on Mondays for a discount. The tres leche is to die for!

Fantastic ambiance with upscale design illuminates the well thought out design of the entire restaurant. This setting really turned the experience up a notch for me as I felt I really was in another place outside of Hellertown. Loved the vibe!
The food was also amazing. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had here in the north. You can tell the chef took time and care in putting together the menu with unique combinations using fresh ingredients melded together to perfection.

Main course – fresh and delicious!
Dessert – just enough and packed with flavor!

I will never run out of good things to say about La Maya! This time we went for brunch, but I’ve come for dinner too. The atmosphere is cozy and chic. The service is always great and personable. The food?? Insanely good! Unique as well. This has become one of my favorite restaurants and will continue to be a returning customer. My favorite recommendation is the nachos! AMAZING!! I am so glad I finally got a chance to check out La Maya. Food was SO good. Drinks were perfect. Service and atmosphere make everything just BEYOND. We were celebrating my friend Ericka’s birthday and she was so glad we went there! Our server John was fantastic. And getting to see my niece, Jessica, who’s also a server – the best (sorry, John) was the cherry on top. We will definitely be back!

Unreal margaritas. Every dish hit with flawless spice and somehow still managed to blow past expectations. Not a single miss. Our server walked us through the menu like a pro, and the food delivered on every promise. The churros? Dangerous. I would’ve happily drank the chocolate sauce straight—and honestly did not regret it. Insider move: order a coffee with the chocolate or caramel sauce on the side. The atmosphere is a straight 10/10—New York–level dining hiding in a small Pennsylvania town like it’s a secret. La Maya is not just a stop, it’s the stop when traveling to or from the city.

What an incredible dining experience! This place was buzzing with vibrant energy…lively atmosphere, and just the right amount of buzz to make it feel special without being overwhelming.
Started with the Aguachile Verde—fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced with that lime kick and pleasant sweetness. Absolutely refreshing and a standout appetizer.
The Duck Budin was a highlight—creative with the presentation and sooo delicious! That deep rich creamy habanero salsa is incredible.
The Short Rib Enchiladas—were packed with flavor from the tomato-chipotle sauce, Chihuahua cheese, and those pickled red onions are fantastic.
The Lamb Birria—that lamb shank that was juicy, fall-off-the-bone tender, the sauce that it’s in is unbelievably deep rich and flavorful. Perfection! The Corn Ribs were great along with this.
Coconut Flan for dessert was heavenly.

I had such a great experience at this new Mexican spot in Hellertown! From the moment we sat down, the service stood out. Our waiter was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu, and every recommendation he made was absolutely spot on.
We started with the Guac Especial — guacamole with blue cheese and apples — and wow, what an unexpected but amazing combination. Creamy, sweet, savory… it just worked. I highly recommend giving it a try.
Next was the ceviche. I usually consider myself a ceviche purist, but theirs is served with a beautiful “lake” of vibrant green sauce, and it was the perfect complement. It added just the right extra layer of flavor without overpowering the freshness of the seafood.
I also finally tried the corn ribs, and they were incredible. Think all the deliciousness of elote, but in a fun, easy-to-eat form. Definitely a must-order.

Me and 5 of my friends went to La Maya for the first time and had an amazing experience! From the ambiance to the food – we all really enjoyed our time there. Get a margarita – we tried the lychee (our fav) and passionfruit & both were AMAZING! Get the apps, please try the corn, it was all so yummy we couldn’t stop ordering. This quickly became all of ours new favorite restaurant. Huge shoutout to Jess our server for making sure we had everything we needed quickly and giving us recommendations. You can tell the staff truly loves their workspace and as former servers our selfs we really know how rare that can be.

Our waitress was amazing & so informative & patient with us. Food was great. Has a little bit of spice to it and they let you know and give you the option to not have spice if you can’t handle it. We also ordered the Enfrijolada which was amazing & the Garlic shrimp Fidel which was also amazing! The place is beautiful! There’s inside and outside seating very spacious. Definitely gets busy around dinner time & I see why. Definitely will return again!
