A cozy and romantic restaurant housed in a charming 19th-century building. The décor and ambiance are warm and intimate, perfect for couples or small groups. Service was friendly, welcoming, and hospitable.

We tried the gastronomie tasting menu with wine pairing — the wines were excellent and complemented the dishes beautifully. The food, however, was a mix of hits and misses. It started strong with the appetizers (the foie gras was a highlight), but one of the main courses had flavours that competed rather than complemented each other, with the sauces overpowering the meat. While we appreciate creative and deconstructed presentations, the elements should ideally come together to create a cohesive flavour profile.

Overall, we enjoyed the experience and would return to try the à la carte menu next time.

La Maison Verte is a lovely and cozy restaurant in the West Island of Montreal, with a great atmosphere—especially during the Christmas season. The festive décor creates a warm and welcoming vibe that we truly enjoy.
The table d’hôte is a very good option, with well-chosen dishes and a nice balance of flavors. We come here regularly, about three to four times a year, and it’s always a pleasant experience.
The food is consistently good. I particularly enjoy the salmon and the steak platter, and the dessert selection is also very nice. It’s classic French cuisine with a tasteful Quebec twist.
One small suggestion would be to have more staff during very busy periods. The restaurant was quite full during our visit, and service took a bit longer than usual. That said, the quality of the food and the overall experience still made it worthwhile.
A great place for a cozy meal, especially during the holidays. We will definitely continue coming back.

It’s surprising that after so many years living in Montreal, I had never heard of this restaurant until now. It’s a very classic spot with traditional Franco-Québécois cuisine. Overall, the food was tasty, the service was excellent (definitely 5 stars), and the parking was convenient.

That said, I do have a few small notes: the soup was a bit too sweet for my taste, and while the sourdough bread was absolutely delicious, we had to ask for it three times and finally received it about 20 minutes later, and it wasn’t complimentary. The ketchup for the French fries also took another 20 minutes to arrive.

Other than that, everything was great—very much worth the visit.

Perfect atmosphere and excellent menu, my wife and I went for a late Valentine’s Day date. Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the waiter but we were well taken care of.
I ordered the filet mignon and I hope you do as well. An absolute divine piece of meat that was so perfectly cooked I hope the chef sees this.
If you’re looking for a cozy romantic and welcoming restaurant look no further, you’ll want to go back and try the rest of the menu

This Family-owned restaurant has been in the heart of Pierrefonds for many years now.
In the summer, the best place to be is on the terrace where you can enjoy the view of Rivière Des Prairies.
The dishes are always exquisite, tasty and fresh. Love the crème brûlée! My favourite dessert! Friendly staff and attentive owner.

A must: the homemade smoke salmon.

Thank you for this lovely culinary experience through out the years!

Additional review for 2025.

Atmosphere: Cosy cabin like atmosphere. We got seated upstairs which is a high ceiling room (attic). Downstairs main room is a natural wood space.

Service: Service is fine. Email or Reservations taken care of very quickly.

Food: I always go for the tasting menu which is about 4-5 courses priced reasonably. This is one of the few spots that does a nice fois gras in it’s true form and one reason I would choose this place. Appetizers are always interesting and this time was a leek dish which was mind blowing. Main is always something different than you would find at restaurants and I’m open to new game (meats). Dessert they have a lot of stuff that I want to try outside of what is included in the menu but its not just a slice of cake, very well presented.

Being in the West Island, it’s a hidden gem.

Rating 5/5 for value and taste and service.
Note: Downtown has a lot of restaurants that would be 5/5 but prices are a good 50%+ more. Keep that in mind.

Came here for our 2 year Anniversary and it didn’t disappoint.

My wife and I started by sharing the house wine ($16 for half a litre). The value was absurd for Montreal restaurants and it was quite nice. Basically got 2 full glasses each.

For our main, we shared 3 dishes: the wild surf and turf, the yellow beat salad and the goat cheese and veggie shortbread.

The yellow beat salad was extremely delicious and very fresh. I would highly recommend it.

Didn’t love the goat cheese/veggie shortbread. Found there was not enough shortbread and it was mostly an arugula salad.

The surf and turf was ABSOLUTELY delicious. The sauce they use for the deer really brings out the flavour, and the lobster tail was very fresh and tasty. My only complaint would be that it’s quite small for the price point ($52).

For dessert, we shared the chocolate cake with ice cream and hot peppers. It was really delicious and tasted exactly like cake and ice cream with a little kick. The peppers didn’t overwhelm the dessert at all making this a very unique dessert.

Service was really nice. Felt like we were the only ones here even though the restaurant was full on the inside. Didn’t rush us at all but was also very present and pleasant.

We hosted our daughter’s baptism at La Maison Verte. We were a group of 32 people. Everything was perfect and it exceeded all our expectations. Our guests were pleased with the food, atmosphere and service. We had our own private dining area.

I Will definitely Come back to try their menu.
