They have a small menu to begin with, yet they were out of almost everything!
How do you stay in business when you have no ingredients, especially on a Saturday?! And they weren’t even busy.
No croissants, no crepes, no cheese, no steak, not even a burger! Send someone to the store if you’re out of all the main ingredients!
Kids were hungry and didn’t want to try going elsewhere, so we each chose an alternative menu item since they couldn’t make anything that we originally came for.
Only 1 subpar waitress to serve 2 tables, yet we waited over 5 minutes before she brought menus, took even longer before she came to take our order, food came out in a reasonable time, she only came to check on us when we were almost done eating, and she never came back, so we had to go to the counter to pay. $71 for 4 people and one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had.
The French toast was burned and crunchy. The chicken pannini comes with chicken, bacon, and cheese, yet was missing bacon!
Poor planning=poor preformance.
And as we were finishing someone walked out the front door with a tray of croissants that they were supposedly out of!
Also, the noise from the next room over was super loud with kids screaming. Not an enjoyable atmosphere.
Super disappointed, would not recommend.
My daughter and I had an amazing time. Walking in, we were greeted and sat, took our order, very pleasant lady with the salt and pepper hair. She was so nice, attentive and just above the average customer service level. She absolutely makes the restaurant as the smiling welcoming face . Our food coffee was so good and flavorful.
I ordered the eggs Benedict and my daughter ordered the avocado toast with egg, both ordered vanilla latte with almond milk. The whole experience was so positive and we will definitely be back.
~~gmm
We also had the eggs Benedict and Crepe Legume (spinach, mushroom , and bechamel sauce) and both were so rich and the best eggs Benedict I’ve had anywhere in the Tri-cities!
The service and ambience are soothingly relaxing and very good.
When we arrived (1:10 p.m.), we were seated at a table that was not fully prepared. At that time, the waitress proceeded to comment that she really wanted to go home and was planning to head out before we and another table arrived. After she approached with glasses of water, she again said that she wanted to go home and complained that it was past her time to head out. When we ordered coffee, she laughed and walked away with a huff. Within 5 minutes, she walked out the door. After that, it took a while to get our coffee and for someone to get our order. At least our second server seemed a little friendlier although focused on other things. This was just the beginning of the delays. We ordered a Monte Cristo, a Panini, and Croque Monsieur (sandwiches) along with a banana bread to share. It took over 20 minutes to get a cold banana bread and over 55 minutes to get our meal. During most of that time, there was only one other table waiting on their food, and the view into the kitchen showed the two staff slowly doing other things and possibly wasting time. They showed no sense of urgency. At no point did anyone approach us to apologize and only seemed worried when I asked to cancel the order and pay. We received food 5 minutes after that and were unimpressed. When I went to pay, the person at the counter seemed annoyed and dismissive. Our server tried to ask me about the food trying to be nice, but that did not balance the rest of the experience and the indifference from the rest of the team.
Honestly, I am not sure if it was a bad day, they just have poor customer service and timing, the staff wanted to go home, or they had something against me and my family.
My advice is, if you want a great brunch/lunch experience and great food, head to House of Pancakes, Cafe Magnolia, Ethos, Sage Port Grille, Hill’s Restaurant, or the Busy Bee Diner. We are regulars at all these places due to their great service.
Eggs Benedict – perfectly poached eggs, hollandaise sauce was delicious (and a good consistency) . . . I’d say the Waldorf-Astoria would proudly serve this dish (and I WILL order it again)
The French Toast – nothing more needs to be said other than
it
is
incredible
The Crepes Au Legumes – the spinach, mushroom, and cream cheese filling was a lil more salty than I’d prefer but still delicious and worth ordering again
Now the overall:
a restaurant in Kennewick with the feel of a modern café in a suburb of Paris. Delicious food, and some fantastic folks working in and out of the kitchen here.
We WILL be back (looking forward to trying the dinner service).
My visit to La Maison Dana was nothing short of delightful. I had the pleasure of enjoying their eggs Benedict and a chocolate croissant, which made for an exquisite start to the day.
The eggs Benedict was a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The hollandaise sauce was masterfully balanced, with just the right touch of lemon and cream. The eggs were poached to absolute perfection, releasing a beautiful golden run when sliced open. The ham added a lovely char that brought out a savory-sweet harmony in every bite.
The chocolate croissant was the perfect complement to this delicious morning meal. Flaky, buttery, and indulgently filled with rich chocolate, it set the tone for a truly satisfying breakfast.
A special mention must go to Flora, the talented owner and mastermind behind this delightful café. Her passion for crafting memorable dishes was evident in every detail, making me feel truly spoiled during this visit.
Keep pursuing the dream, Flora! I can’t wait to return.
This morning seemed busier than usual. The staff appeared a little harried. I forgot to take a pic of the excellent croissants. I also had the ham and cheese omelette and my wife the avocado, bacon, and cream cheese toast/sandwich.
It’s a great little spot that overlooks the city. Definitely worth your time and money
