Wow Terry the manager is so incredibly welcoming he always is on top of the game when it comes to keeping that restaurant running perfectly and keeping the staff smiling and creating an environment that I love I’ve been eating at this restaurant since it opened and Terry has been the best manager that this restaurant has ever had. The food is always fresh. The Caesar salads are rocking and I can tell you coming here is like eating at a French café on the French Riviera. The food quality is exceptional and it’s just a great place in the winter to sit by the fire and enjoy a great cup of soup or a croissant. The desserts are wonderful. Where else can you Get fresh desserts that are made fresh every day other places aren’t doing it like they’re doing it. Thank you for hiring such an amazing manager and thank you for all of the great food that you’re constantly creating la Madeline.

My son and I love this place. They have the best food and dessert complimented by the wonderful staff. The staff recognize us and make us feel at home. The bacon bon bon brioche and avocado toast are my favorites. The chocolate eclairs are simply magical.

First off when you first walk in you aren’t greeted or anything. So you kinda just walk in and find a menu and just start off on your own. There was one lady standing at the counter but swapped between registers so didn’t know where to stand in line. Finally when we were able to order the lady couldn’t help us fully, might need some more training with the system to input orders exactly how customers want it cause she still got one of our orders wrong. Next, we went to get our drinks and sit down (sit wherever you want and there’s space so no wait for that) and waited for our food to be brought to our table (given a number) sat a good 20 to 30 minutes waiting, just to get some cold food and one of the sandwiches didn’t even have the ham we asked for cause we customized it and it wasn’t added. On top of that the potato soup we ordered a bowl of was cold. Didn’t make sense that it was cold not even warm when the server told me they had just finished making it. So had to send that back, just to wait another 10 minutes for them to heat it up on the stove. Overall the food tasted great and we really enjoyed it but it was just such a hassle to go through all of that just to eat and enjoy our food. Which we barely did cause I had already started on my sandwich because it was getting cold while waiting for my boyfriend’s sandwich to be remade the way he ordered it. It’s not a bad place to eat and it’s a lil on the pricey side. I’d say maybe order to go? Not sure but the dine in experience wasn’t all that great.

I ordered just a croissant and a creme brûlée to go. The cashier was friendly and thoughtful, asking me if I wanted a spoon. But! The croissant had an unpleasant aftertaste, as though they’d used some palm oil. The crème brûlée was good, but not as good as it was, say, five years ago. I won’t be back.

The moment that we stepped in it fell off there is an issue with us not getting our cups and not having a utensils either. And to make matters worse when the food was brought to me my corset was cold and I asked if I could have a heated one she grabs the corset off of my plates and proceeds to take it to the kitchen. Which was very unsanitary and fairly rude in my opinion don’t snatch something off my plates. For her to be the manager and the fact that there was no smile no communication no proper communication I will never be back here again. I do not recommend this location to anybody.

This is the SECOND time I’ve been here where I had to wait 20+ minutes to receive my food and my order is incorrect. I have had someone come in after me and be offered a drink while they wait while I’d already have been there. not ONCE have I been compensated or offered something, nor does anyone seem apologetic. It’s even more annoying that I come here for a specific dessert and by the time I realize my order has been packed wrong the dessert is GONE! Definitely noticed certain group of customers receive better attention.

DON’T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY. This location has made me hate La Madeleine’s food. After not eating there in so long, I decided to try it again today. I ordered broccoli and cheese soup. It arrived burned. When I called, a male person immediately interrupted me while I was telling him what happened, put me on hold and ever came back. After holding about 6 minutes, I called the corporate office in Dallas and left a message. I tried to call back to this location but no answer. Whoever put this soup in a contain had to have known it was burned and chose to send it anyway. This shows how inconsiderate they are of their customer’s time and money.

I used to frequent La Mad on a weekly basis when I was working full time, both this location as well as one on Camp Bowie. Sadly, this one on south Hulen seems to be slipping. We came mid-morning recently and couldn’t believe how unclean were the floors and tables throughout, and the coffee and cream area was a mess. There were also problems with service. First they couldn’t get our order straight at the register without having to repeat and recheck everything. Two items in the order we very clearly asked to be made “To Go”, yet the kitchen prepped and sent it all to our table as dine-in. When we clarified to the delivery person she took it back, repackaged it, then when she brought the bag back to us as we ate our breakfast, she was very abrupt, impolite, and nearly knocked over my coffee when she tossed it on our table.

Staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful in the to go line. Used to be back in the day, it was so simple… they would
1. Greet you
2. Ask what you wanted
3. Give you your food with a smile and Thank you.
…This server did none of these and I ended up giving a huge tip to one of the other servers Melissa, who is always so friendly and helpful when I dine it. Much of the lack of customer service atmosphere comes from what management allows. Starts at the top. And much of my lettuce was old and brown. After picking out all the old and brown lettuce, I was left with half a salad. Please make la Madeleine great again.
