Always a great experience, I usually come here for coffee and a treat, but today was lunch.
Friendly staff, very clean and excellent food. Very fair price too, $25 lunch for two.

I had quiche with strawberry spinach salad . It’s very healthy oriented foods. Lots of delicious desserts. Atmosphere is quiet, cozy, great meeting place, great French themed decor, friendly staff, products available to purchase or make gift baskets. Kids menu. Always have a specials! I enjoy this restaurant.

My son took me here for birthday brunch, expecting it to be nice. It wasn’t. I ordered the breakfast sandwich on croissant (ham, scrambled eggs, cheese). He got quiche Lorraine and a Monte Cristo croffle. There were no trays available at the ordering station, so we awkwardly carried our sides to the table. The tables next to us were still covered with dirty dishes, and stayed that way for our entire stay. Also, there were NO FORKS! They were all dirty or in the sterilizer, so we waited about 10 minutes for a fork. His quiche was sunken in as if it had sat there for a while. My breakfast sandwich was cold, and the ham, which you’d expect to be diced and cooked with the eggs, was just a slice of deli meat folded over the eggs. Likewise, the cheese was sliced, not shredded, and served with a side of underripe tomato slices. The croffle was pitiful. It was burned on the edges, had very little filling, and was not served with the jam as stated or topped with powdered sugar. Food was terrible. Service was bad. Do better La Madeleine, I know you can.

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is great and the staff were nice. The food…absolutely delicious. I went for brunch and to work on some stuff and it was perfect. Not too loud and I felt very comfortable. Will definitely be making this my regular spot

Tried to order 1/2chicken salad croissant and cup of soup. apparently you can’t do that here. She was extremely rude about it. Even though we were both ordering the same thing. The soup was barely lukewarm. Terrible rude service we will not be back. If she doesn’t like her job find a new one. No need to be rude. She needsbetter social skills for customer service at the counter.

It used to be great but now the crème brûlées come undercooked. The last 8-10 crème brûlées I’ve ordered either don’t have the toasted sugar and/or are undercooked to where it’s more of a thin/liquid pudding like texture instead of a firm custard. It’s disappointing because the crème brûlée is my favorite thing from here.

This is a great place to get some good French food… the atmosphere is fun, French music going on the background… amazing deserts. I love anything French and this is the best for East Texas.….. now 4 yrs after my first review, I’m back. This place totally rocks. Every time I go in, it’s amazing, always. Always good food n always good service. If you found this review to be helpful, please give it a thumbs up. Thanks

Long haired general manager with glasses and England teeth is very rude, not to me personally but the regular employees were having trouble with the register because they were obviously not properly trained, the lady in front of me had her card charged twice it was showing up on her banking account and the general manager decided to start raising his voice at the lady almost yelling telling her that she’s wrong while my 5 year old and 2 year old daughters and my wife are right here and we came to have a nice lunch. The employees were so untrained they couldn’t even take my cash to put in our order. Maybe if the general manager were more concerned about training his employees properly and investing time in his store instead of arguing and being rude with customers this store would receive more business, at least it would have kept ours. The poor regular employees was sweeting he was so nervous I feel for all the regular employees in that building, this general manger is so unprofessional he should never be anything more than a McDonalds drive through cashier but he doesn’t have the mind for that either. Manners gets you a long way. Not laziness and bad temper

General Manager Christi is absolutely so rude. I’ve been here a couple of times and travel an hour to eat here since we don’t have one in our town and she is always so condescending and bothered. I’m sure it’s tiring being a GM but my god her attitude, she can’t even fake it. I had to laugh in her face when she wanted to make a snarky remark, like seriously? Honety so disappointing

I love La Madeline. The food is French Country, so not pretentious French at all. It’s simple, very fresh ingredients, the kind of food that a French farm family would make, using their own hand raised and home grown ingredients. The bread is wonderful and crispy on the outside. I had the Toasted Caprese Sandwich this time, with the Creamy Potato Soup. Fresh cheeses, ham, vegetables, and wonderful bread. My husband had the Croque Monsieur sandwich, with ham, cheese, and veggies, and loved it. I’ve had the quiche in the past and the tomato basil soup. I can recommend them both. It was a chilly day, so we sat next to the fireplace, with French Cafe music playing lightly in the background. I really enjoy the comfortable atmosphere. What’s not to like?
