The staff were very friendly, and Sanai helped explain the menu, including their combos. She came out later to ask others and myself how their/my meal was and when asked to get something by another patron, she was quick and polite to get the requested item.
The bread and jams they have are great. The bread was soft and strawberry Jam very flavorful.
I got the half chicken Parisien sandwich, with pasta salad. The sandwich took a few minutes to come out, but in a very reasonable amount of time. The bread was soft inside and had this perfect crunch on the outside where it was toasted. The sandwich itself had great texture and flavor and their pasta salad is one of my favorites.
The only issue I had is with the Tea but this seems to be an issue any restaurant I go to where the tea was sitting out a little too long. Tea gets a distinct and unpleasant flavor as it sits out at room temp for too long. I mentioned it to the manager as he walked by and we had a chat about how they ensure the tea is made fresh every morning but he would go check.
Overall a great experience from staff to food and the ambience here is always great.
I liked the topping on the tart, it was lightly sweet and helped the flavors of the lemon not be too harsh. It almost tasted like a faintly sweetened marshmallow. The center of the tart, was a little too much. Kind of sour and off putting, yet quite sweet at the same time. It wasn’t my favorite, but it did curb my craving. As far as the creme brulee, the top was nicely broiled a bit, but when I got to the bottom of the tart it went from an eggy custard to more of a watery custard. The flavor was okay, caramel with a hint of cinnamon. And of course the egg flavor.
The price to portion ratio was decent. The tiny tart was $3, and the creme brulee was $5.99. overall my experience was all right. I will give them four stars for the service however, but it was not crazy delicious. Just something fast and sweet to curb my cravings. They also had drinks close by like sparkling water, bottled water, bottled Orange juice, and a few sodas. I might come back to try something chocolate. They have a sacher cake slice, but I’m not a big fan of raspberry and chocolate together, so that may not be something up my alley.
What truly sets this location apart, though, is the customer service — especially Addy. She consistently greets you with a warm smile and such genuine hospitality. She is kind, patient, and incredibly sweet. Whether you’re deciding between desserts or trying to figure out what sounds good that day, she takes her time and makes you feel completely at ease.
Addy always checks in to make sure everything is just right, and you can tell she truly cares about the customer experience. She’s one of the main reasons I look forward to visiting this location. Exceptional service like hers deserves recognition.
I highly recommend this La Madeleine — and if you get the chance, I hope Addy is there to brighten your visit too!
