This is one of the better authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. I tried the La Ktrina tacos they were a mix of steak and chorizo which is Mexican sausage and cilantro and onions. They were perfectly cooked the steak was juicy the chorizo was very flavorful. Everything tasted great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely stop in and try this place you won’t regret it.

We had La Ktrina delivered last week and loved everything we tried (quesabirria quesadilla, La ktrina and carne asada tacos, and La rez tamale), so when we saw they offered breakfast we knew we had to stop in. We had hot coffee, chilaquiles rojos, and quesabirria tacos. Everything was amazing, but the chilaquiles are out of this world. We also tried the passionfruit and cucumber aguas frescas and horchata. All three were very tasty. Excellent, friendly service when dining in too. We’ll definitely be back- La Ktrina is a gem, Ypsi is lucky they’re here!

I just visited this Mexican restaurant and everything was absolutely delicious. The pozole was so flavorful and comforting — easily one of the best I’ve had. The tamales were also incredibly delicious and perfectly made. I’m very happy with my experience and will definitely be coming back for more!

So delicious! The Queza-birrias dinner was perfectly seasoned, and accompanied by the fresh snap of pepino con-limon to drink – excellent! Loved meeting the owner and enjoying the terrific art and decor by her son. Great food, great music, great atmosphere. Oh, we will be back!

Katrina’s is amazing. The food was sooo good. The horchata is homemade and very tasty! Their guacamole has a lot of crunchy onion, juicy tomatos and jest the right amount of spice – delish! And the restaurant is cozy and welcoming –
Katrina was an attentive hostess. We’re looking forward to many more visits to this gem of a place!

The five star reviews are deserving. Great service and food. Previous reviewers mentioned it is attached (shared entrance) to a gas station and has limited seating, 6 tables. For sure it might be crowded during peak hours. But I noticed they have a drive through window for us to avoid any long lines etc. I had a combo of beef taco and chicken enchilada. Refried beans and chips and salsa were excellent!

I’m a fool for sleeping on this place so long. Don’t make the same mistake. The quality of the food is top-notch, the service and ambiance is excellent. We first ordered for delivery and were so impressed that we hustled in for breakfast a few days later. The restaurant is immaculate and the decor inviting (really loved the chalk art and “in a world of princesses, be a chingona” – this business is definitely benefiting from having a chingona or two at the helm). Going to work our way through the menu but so far, the asada and LKtrina tacos, quezabirria, tamales, and chilaquiles have been the best – by far – I’ve had in this area (and even better than what I’ve enjoyed in Detroit). The coffee had a nice hint of cinnamon and the aquas frescas are very flavorful.
