I don’t know what took me so long to try La Isla in South Sioux City, but I’m kicking myself for not coming here years ago. I first visited two nights ago for the South Sioux City Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours event, and I was so impressed that we came back today for Valentine’s Day.
The food is absolutely incredible — fresh, flavorful, and served in huge portions. If you love seafood or Mexican cuisine, this place is a must. Everything we tried was outstanding, and we’ll definitely be enjoying leftovers for the next couple of days.
The service and staff were top‑notch. Friendly, attentive, personable — you can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in every part of the experience.
La Isla has officially earned a spot on our regular rotation. Highly recommend!

Well prepared, authentic. Just ask the waiter to help translate the menu. Ask to hold the spice if you dont like it hot. They have the largest margaritas on earth and the best crablegs.

They offered many combination of seafood cocktail. It could be just shrimp, octopus or plus raw oyster, crab meat, scallop… The large is a very big portion with plenty of contents. Decent amount of seafood in each serving. Specialty drinks are very interesting and full of Mexican culture.
