Stopped by La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant for an early dinner after my wife recommended it, and it did not disappoint. Warm chips, great salsa, and friendly, attentive service. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful — even the rice and beans stood out (which is rare!).
The restaurant is bigger inside than it looks, though parking is a little tight — we got a spot easily since we came early, but there’s more parking across the street if needed.
Total for two was about $47, and it was well worth it. Definitely one of the better Mexican restaurants I’ve been to between San Francisco and Monterey Bay. I’ll absolutely be back!

Shrimp cocktail here is outstanding. The service super nice. Friendly and happy atmosphere. Family friendly. I like coming here whenever I’m in Gilroy. Their food never disappoints.

Food was served on cold plates… food was cold not too tasty. Bland in fact. Chips were ok. Salsa was too spicy. Taquitos/ Flautas had no chicken meat in them and no potatoes in it. Rice was ok but beans seemed thin, watered down like.
Taco salad was good for the 2 stars. Too expensive for the not so good amount of food that took a while to get cold!

No we did not address our concerns. Felt the waitress just didn’t care… She never came to give water refill. We waited a long time. Asked for more chips and she acted like she didn’t understand. A guy was sweeping the floor around us. We felt as if we were being pushed out… and it was only around 6:30pm. Besides that… when we received a plate that was done wrong, the waitress thru attitude with her body language…. and she never came back after that.
So in all honesty… I dont think anything would have been done differently. Even your response to my issues… for not being there … seems very one sided.

Had the huevos rancheros, nothing special. Pretty basic plate. most places make them unique or different. But this place was pretty basic.
Atmosphere was awesome and very friendly staff. 20$ for a breakfast is not bad. I’ll come back to try something else again

My friend has brought me here a couple times so I brought my family….I liked my mole enchiladas….my sister wasn’t as happy with her choice but she’s super picky….my other sister said her food was fine and my brother in law also super picky needed more flavor….however chips salsa and beers on point

I got the cheese enchilada, beef taco, and Chile Renello . It was ok. The food was not bad but not the best. The service was excellent, very nice staff. I’m very picky about my food and like my Mexican food a certain way. Chips and salsa great. Enchilada sauce was kind of sweet, and the Chilli Renello had mozzarella for the cheese. Taco was good very crispy. Thank you for dinner. Your staff’s service was extremely good.

We have been eating here since probably 2009. Figured it was time to write a review. The food, drinks, and service are always excellent. Things got dodgy thru COVID, but La Hacienda made it through. Let’s hope they stay open for years to come.
