After a hard days travel the wife and I just needed a relaxing meal before retiring for the night. When we got to the restaurant we were informed they were only serving to go orders. The counter girl was obviously trying to mop the floor in anticipation of close. Mind you it was barely 8pm and hours were listed as 9pm close. But we were not going to now try and get to another establishment so we got the take out. Food was ok, portions fine, reasonable price. Green sauce was a tad spicy so be warned.

Don’t go here. We got the shredded beef tacos and the beef tasted like it was just boiled no flavor at all besides its own. The red ground beef enchiladas were just spicy and tasted like beef as well. Their salsa for the tacos is literally blended tomato and pieces of tomato then here and there pieces of jalapeño.
And not to mention I got super sick worse stomach ache ever and throwing up. We’ve been living in Alamo for about a year or so, we had never stopped and the one time we did worst food ever. We come from a place of real Mexican food this is white washed expensive Mexican food.
Then the high chairs look like they haven’t been cleaned since they got them. Also a girl that worked there was doing her hair in dining area. So yeah not the best place to eat EVER.
So mi raza no vayan la comida está de lo peor. Mejor vayan a el lugar que se llama Amigos la comida está más sabrosa y si son Mexicanos de verdad! Hasta las mecheras estaban hablando de ir a comer a amigos.

A wonderful filling meal after a visit to White Sands Natl. Pk. Made it in time before they closed at 9. Our waitress was lovely and made the perfect recommendation-3 chicken enchiladas christmas style. The chicken was well cooked shredded and tasted like chicken should. Perfectly sufficient meal. The restaurant was immaculately clean. While dated in decor it was a perfectly fine meal. The green and red chili were spicy hot just like we like it!

So, I called in a drive through order of red beef enchiladas with onion, green chile chicken enchiladas with an over easy egg, and a taco plate. Came home and opened up the boxes to red chile Colorado or something of the sort, green beef enchiladas without an egg, and a taco plate. I decided just to try the green beef enchiladas. I did not know they make it with tomatios. I don’t care for tomatios because it’s sweet.
A disappointment to say the least. Now, I learned to always check the food before you leave. (I can’t drive back another 30 miles to return the items).

This is a sister restaurant to La Hacienda in Ruidoso, NM which is a decent Mexican food restaurant.
I ordered the Flauta Plate and it was satisfying. The flautas were crunchy and had enough meat, the beans were alright, didn’t really like the Mexican rice. My daughter really enjoyed their Caldo de Res. She said it had good flavor and had a good ratio of meat and veggies. My youngest had the Enchilada Kid plate and it was nice that she was able to customize it to her liking, so she went with a green chicken enchilada which she finished. The tamales weren’t my favorite. I have no idea why they had cheese on top. I probably wouldn’t order them again.
They offer agave margaritas in different flavors, they are made from ready mix and not fresh ingredients
but they are enjoyable if you aren’t that picky.
The inside of the restaurant could be updated, not much of an atmosphere. Prices ran around $10 a plate. I haven’t seen many Mexican restaurants in Alamogordo so if you are in the mood for Mexican food check this place out!

My sisters and I went there, they wanted an authentic Mexican meal. They got it too. The decor is very simple and the atmosphere is casual. If you’re looking for something fancy, you won’t find it here but the food is delicious and the staff is awesome.

Most outstanding Mexican food I’ve had since my mom’s cooking! A little warm inside, but such good food. Their beans weren’t just a side dish, they were soooo good! Gorditas and brisket tacos were great!

Not the best experience. Flies inside the restaurant just would not stop bugging. Chairs/booths are falling apart, cushions are soft or falling off. Parking was atrocious.
Seated ourselves, menus were brought quickly. We ordered just water to start which came out quickly but with only one straw. Hostess went back to grab another straw but never returned with it.
Daughter ordered a pork fajitas dish, got only one freakin tortilla (seriously?!). I ordered tacos with chicken as the protein. The chicken was BOILED! BOILED!! Guess what boiled, soggy chicken does to taco shells?! Smh. Not to mention that the chicken was super salty, almost unbearable.
Changes need to be made.

Hubby wanted mexican food and decided to stop here on a trip to Alamagordo. Staff was friendly, and service was good. The food was very tasty and we both enjoyed it. Hubby had a chicken burrito with white wine sauce, I had the flautas. I have IC and need to be careful with spices. This was perfect for me. Price point is great.
