I tried their large Midnight Margarita (10/10) I loved the flavor and it was STRONG! For food, I was craving steak, and saw Steak El Amigo (10/10) on the menu. It was very flavorful, tender, seasoned, cooked exactly how I wanted it, and more than enough food for me. The steak was topped with cheese sauce, shrimp, fajita vegetables, peppers, and mushrooms. Also came with a side of rice and beans and tortillas.
Def my new go to spot for sure. Already planning to go back next Tuesday, this time, to try some tacos and other drinks!
My overall rate of experience : 10/10
I wanted to go somewhere that was closer to where we were at the time, but she convinced me to drive 34 minutes, to THIS restaurant, “La Hacienda”. I was NOT disappointed! There was no wait time, the chips & dip came to us within 2 minutes of sitting down (like, whaaaaat ). The staff was polite, and about 3 people checked on us, while we were there, to make sure we were okay. Our food was to us, within 7-10 minutes. It was hot and fresh.
I just “saved” this restaurant on my “Go to Places” under Google maps.
I even had enough to take back home, and it was (with tax), under $20. Oh yeah….this place is a MUST for anyone who loves authentic Mexican cuisine.
The food is consistently very good, with flavorful dishes and generous portions that make it easy to come back again and again.
The service is good overall—friendly and attentive most of the time—though not always exceptional.
The atmosphere is fine and relaxed, but fairly standard, without anything that really stands out.
All in all, La Hacienda delivers where it matters most: good food at a fair value. It’s a reliable neighborhood spot that’s worth visiting if you’re in the area.
The food was very tasty and the portions seemed fair. I got the birria tacos with a side of rice and beans. The birria tacos were pretty good though I have admittedly had slightly better before. The birria itself could have used a little extra kick but it was definitely still pretty good! The rice and beans were also great and I appreciated the flavors making up for the slightly small portion size. Lastly, I unintentionally ordered the 22oz jalapeño and cucumber margherita! I was worried about not finishing it because it was a tad strong and the glass was huge but it actually ended up not being too difficult to finish. It was also had a great flavor combo and the Tajin on the rim just elevated the experience.
The restaurant itself is also beautifully decorated and the staff was very friendly. I appreciated the fact that we did not have to wait too long to be seated or for our food to come out, despite the restaurant being pretty busy. I would have preferred to not have been seated right by the kitchen but it was not too bad.
Overall, I definitely recommended giving La Hacienda a shot!
