A real restaurant.

It’s been years since I’ve gone to one of these establishments, I’ve noticed how they popped up around South Florida, but at first it was more of the Peruvian flavor I fell in love with from family dishes.

I used to frequent one in Hallandale Beach with my grandmother who used to love their shrimp soup. I haven’t been back to any of them since her passing in 2021.

All I have to say is, that it has the same nostalgic feel to my childhood at similar places, with the quality of the food that surprisingly hasn’t gotten worse, it’s what I’d expect of a place like this. Not too costly and not too luxurious, perfect for a nice solo-dinner after work.

Back before COVID, I would ask for huancaina sauce, which I understand now over the years they do not have it available at any given point, but the cashier went above and beyond and made it possible for me to add it to my plate.

I started to shed tears as I ate because despite being in a booth alone, it felt for the first time in years my grandmother was sitting in front of me, eating with me.

If you want a down to earth Peruvian meal, without paying an arm and a leg, look no further than La Granja!

I was trying to figure out where I should have my last meal here in Miami and I came across this lovely establishment. I am so glad that I did! The food was amazing and reminds me of going to a local Latin restaurant in Washington Heights NYC. I ordered the 1/4 chicken special with white rice, black beans, yellow sweet plantains and a mango drink. The chicken was so juicy and full of flavor, the rice and beans were delicious and the yellow sweet plantains were the perfect addition to this meal (I feel you have to have yellow sweet plantains in almost every Latin meal… that’s the New Yorker in me). The mango drink was so refreshing and a great finish to a perfect meal. Everything came out piping hot, just the way I like it. Service was quick and friendly, at an affordable price. Sorry I didn’t take this pic before digging in but I just could not wait to experience this because I knew the food would be good. I didn’t think it would be AWESOME!!! I found out there are other locations in Florida, especially in the Ft Lauderdale area (which I will move to). I cannot wait to come back here again!! Great food + fast service +;good atmosphere=a very satisfied customer!!!

Great food. Need to retrain the staff. Lack of costumer service and rude. If food was not this good I will never come back. If some one wants to contact me please do so. I will give you some pointers

Caution! Portions are huge. Barely finished. We got seafood soup called Seafood Gumbo. Soup was very good. I noticed everybody gotten Snapper but I’d not see that on the menu. Next time probably will try that. Overall it’s nice food spot with good options. Recommended.

Love coming here! I always get incredible food at a fair price and great customer service! The only thing about this particular restaurant is it’s small size. During the lunch/dinner rush it can get quite crowded, so just keep that in mind before you come. But other than that, it’s a great place to get Peruvian food

Place was small not many tables to sit, both dinner were hot & fresh. The plantains were cold for both orders that’s the only bad. Everything else delicious & perfect

I don’t want to be the one who says it but La Granja Is definitely a high contender against Pollo Tropical. The tenderness of the chicken itself is beyond juicy not chewy and hard . The taste of the meat as well is well seasoned it’s not bland and lacking taste which i greatly appreciate. I have a specific way i eat my meals here . Feel free to try it and let me know what you think ! (Get any chicken meal take all the meat off the bon and spread it all throughout the plate same with the rice and beans mix well, then drizzle the “white sauce” all over going horizontally and dabs of hot sauce ! The BEST combination here i promise you you won’t regret it ! Also very affordable pricing they also have a lunch special that you’d wanna take up on before 4pm .

I ordered food on Uber Eats about half an hour before arriving at the restaurant, and I was told that my order was ready. However, upon arrival at the restaurant, they told me that it was not ready. It took quite a while to be done. Also, the air conditioner did not seem to be working properly. It was almost as hot inside as out, and outside it was ninety degrees! I would like to mention also the general ambience of the place was unfavorable. The food was decent, but the chicken was rather dry.

This is a GREAT place to have a lunch with the family. SUCH A GOOD TASTE. Portions are good size and very friendly staff. The only reason I give 4 stars is because parking is so limited that you have to look around on busy hours.
