As a wine lover, I was especially thrilled with their curated wine selection — a fantastic range that pairs wonderfully with their menu. It’s clear they take pride in both their cuisine and beverage offerings.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a refined yet welcoming dining experience. Can’t wait to return!
Being a new restaurant it certainly has a nice vibe, however the chairs on the left side, the overflow area, are so bad that my butt was hurting after the 2 hours of having dinner there. Its like they dont want you to sit there for long.
Now to food, the food is mediocre, at best. We ordered muscles and many mussels had sand in them. They could easily use PEI mussels, for the price they charge. The baguette was like any ordinary bread you would get at Giants or Shoprite. The snails were also ok. Trout was decent. The server suggested to get the salad with goat cheese croquette. She said the croquette will break and the cheese flows out and its delicious. Well the croquette was like a flat burger and didn’t have enough cheese to burst open and spread.
Now to service. Very very poor. The furst time around the server never changed our plate and we ended up eating on a 4″ round black plate, yiu can see it in the picture. The second time we went there the server took my drink order but walked away from the table. The other guest was shocked and was gazing at him with questioning look on what happened also they served us the special salad but without any utensils to serve it!!!
For them to call this a French restaurant is very misleading. The restaurant is loud, other reviews have said that too, and the music is hard core US, and loud.
They won’t see me again. I will be surprised if they last for one year, unless they make changes.
We were greeted by three lovely ladies at the entrance and escorted to our table almost immediately.
Their wine list is extensive – they have house, regular and wines on the “reserve” list. The reserve list, although pricey, has excellent choices! Beer and cocktails galore, however I am a wine drinker, so I enjoyed a glass of Chateauneuf du Pape…
The mushroom appetizer was delicious – the combination of wild mushrooms, fava beans and sauce was a great choice for my wine.
If you have never had French Onion soup before – this is the place to try it! A wonderful combination of cheese, onion and croutons melt in your mouth! It is rare to find a soup outside of France (even in France for that matter) that tastes as good! (5 out of 5).
The scallops – cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The sauce that came with them was a delight and complimented the dish to perfection.
The duck leg- you just have to try it! Duck is as complex of a dish as it is simple, La Grange knows how to cook duck!
The cherry on top was the dessert though. I highly recommend the Canele! Such a delight to my taste buds. I will go back just for this alone! Anyway… The service was a bit discombobulated, however everyone was excited to be there and wanted to help! And that is exactly how it is in France, so everything was in line with the French vibe. I would recommend for your casual dinner or a low key celebration… Such a great evening we had!
