Staying at the nearby hotel, La Fontaine was a perfect choice for the 5 of us. The escargot, steak tartar and ils flotante were my choices and thoroughly enjoyable. All the food chosen by our group was really good, only issue was the slightly slow service, and struggling to get the attention of our waiter.
Would still recommend as a dinner option.

Food was excellent, service too. Read lots of good reviews before we chose it and it didn’t disappoint. €270 for 4 people with 2 bottles of wine was far from cheap, but we didn’t feel ripped off.

Food was good. Both chose the MENU à 26.90Euros. Could have been advised earlier that the BUFFET DE HORS D’OEUVRE was indeed a help yourself buffet! Assumed that the PLATEAU DE FROMAGES OU DESSERTS AU CHOIX meant that we could choose any dessert from the menu, but were charged separately for these. Enjoyed the meal nonetheless. 94euros for two including wine.

I’ve been here five times since 2005 as a stopover during road trips to Le Mans.
The staff have always been great and the reception welcoming. On face value the venue is basic, but the food is great traditional French cuisine. Popular with locals, it’s a great experience if you want your experience to be authentic.

Apart from the delay in bringing me my first beer, which I had to order twice, the experience was great. Very good value, they all work very hard and the results were good. Ordered a filet de boeuf ‘a point’ and it unfortunately came a little over-done, but still tasted excellent and was not too tough. Very friendly staff.
