Great food for the price. Full plates and freshly cooked food. Our server was polite, friendly, and quick. We had the 3 shredded beef tacos with rice and beans, and a cheeseburger and fries- the food was delicious and very filling. The decor was beautiful and comfortable. The restaurant is spacious and A.D.A. compliant , with lots of room to maneuver.

We tried this place and felt like we were treated like a hassle. Barely any interaction and the 2 ladies barely engaged with us to make sure we were satisfied. It felt like we over stayed our welcome within 15 minutes. My gf ordered the tortilla soup and it was a complete joke. She was served a bowl of broth with a whole carrot and other vegetables. Basically thrown together and looked bland. I wish we would of complained but we already felt unwelcome. I got some combination plate it was basic. Next time we’ll take our business to Panchos. Spent at least $60 for BS but tipped yall $1 for the wasteful experience.

Don’t bother going here. Owner was very rude and not one other person was in the place. I know we all have bad days but when the only customers you have comes in you need to act like you are happy they came. Food was barely warm. We live in Brookings and have gone here for years but this was our last time.

This little Mexican join was a pleasant unplanned experience. The staff was incredibly friendly despite the busy evening. The food was good, but standard fare. Just a pleasant dining experience on our way through town. Worth of a visit if you’re hankering for some standard Mexican fare!

The booth was very uncomfortable, sunken seats.
Waitress never smiled and didn’t write anything down. She brought our straws in her bare hands, straws were not in any kind of wrapping. The place is stuffy but cute.
The food was barely warm and very salty! Food wasn’t flavorful at all.
We asked for a couple take out boxes and we were charged. 50 cents each. I’ve never seen that before. There’s also a surcharge if you pay with a credit card.
Reading other similar reviews, the management response has not improved upon any of the common complaints.
We won’t be going back.

*$6 lunch specials that include rice and beans
*$9.50 Mexican buffet
*beautiful inside and out
* friendly
*free dessert!!
*not the supersized burritos I’ve come to expect at Mexican places (good or bad? You decide)
*okay salsa (my kids loved it though and ended up eating theirs with a spoon!)
*no really spicy sauce, they gave us Tapatio 🙁
Beautiful interior to this restaurant makes for a great atmosphere. Artfully carved and painted chairs and tables.
**The burritos aren’t the huge ones that I’ve come to expect from Mexican restaurants but that was okay with me since I can never finish those things anyway.
All but one of us got something off the “specials” menu and our total for 6 people had my husband checking over the receipt to make sure they hadn’t forgotten to add anything on to it.
The service was friendly and our guests were impressed that our waitress got our entire order correct without writing any of it down.
We couldn’t find a kids menu so the kids ate my rice and beans and I ordered a side of tortillas for them. The waitress brought a book for them to read/look at while we waited.
We had an exceptional experience here and will be returning.
I also walked through their buffet before leaving and there was a lot of food and a lot of options. It looked like it would definitely be worth the stop if you have a couple hungry people.

Got excited to see al pastor on the menu so i ordered that. When it came it was steak aka asada. I told the waitress and she claimed thats there version of al pastor. I told the lady thats asada and not pork aka al pastor. False advertisement. Take it off the menu and stop lying to people.

So very disappointed in the lunch buffet. Meat option was very basic and limited. The salad bar was on the par of country cooking and no real desert options avaliable. I would give the place another shot. Love the service and decor.

No free refills is crazy for small glasses of soda. The menu prices did not match the receipt. When we asked the waitress to fix it she said the prices went up, so instead of paying 16 and 20 for our meals we paid 25.75 for each. The customer service was generally bad.
