I decided to try La Fiesta instead of going to one of the chain fast-food restaurants in this area. I ordered a combination plate that included a chile relleno, a taco, and rice and beans.
The food arrived very quickly—almost too quickly—which felt a bit questionable.
The chile relleno was supposed to be the highlight, but it didn’t quite deliver. The pepper itself had great flavor, but it seemed to be stuffed with a white, Velveeta-style cheese rather than something more traditional. The red sauce contained chunks of ground beef and was reminiscent of something you’d put on pasta rather than a classic Mexican sauce.
The taco was fine, though the hard shell tasted like it came straight from a boxed kit. The rice was okay, and the beans were basic but good.
Overall, I’d give this place 3 out of 5 stars. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it didn’t stand out enough for me to be eager to return.
One thing to note: As of January 2026, there is a Mexican place opening right across the street from this one…

I just stopped here for dinner and had a positive experience. Overall, I enjoyed it, and would return, given the opportunity. Food was really tasty. Similar to my local Mexican place, but with some flavor variation and different meal choices. Service was friendly, attentive, and fast. Food was piping hot as well. Overall price was around $70 for 3 adults, including the tip. It was worth it, I brought home leftovers.

Our food & drinks were really good. Our server was very quick & super nice. The atmosphere was really comfortable with music that was at a great volume level. Everything was clean and organized. Prices were really good too. Plenty of easy parking & even some parking in the back for larger vehicles or trucks with trailers. We would definitely eat here again.

This is a great Mexican style restaurant in Vincennes, Indiana. They have very fast and accurate service. The food here is very good. The restaurant is clean and well kept despite being in an older building. It is really easy to navigate to using Google Maps. They have plenty of free parking in their large lot around the building.

Service was fast and friendly. Chips and salsa arrived as we were being seated. We had fish tacos and strawberry margaritas. Both were tasty. The side of rice was bland, we added the salsa to it for some flavor.
