We stumbled upon this place as we were exploring towns near Silver Lake, and I’m so happy we did!! Established in 1987, so we figured they had to be doing something right. Oh… YES they do it right!! Tacos made with freshly fried corn shells, and the generously served ground beef is perfectly seasoned.
I also ordered a side of flour tortillas to taste test. I didn’t ask, but im certain they’re made in-house. These delicious fluffy dusty torts had a slight char around the edges, which also indicates the traditional homemade method of heating tortillas on an open flame!
Also freshly fried Chips with salsa was very hard to resist. Couldn’t stop eating to save room for the meal.
Rice was full of flavor. My only suggestion is to top the beans off with some cheese.
We found our new favorite Mexican restaurant!

Wanted to try this place because I’m a fan of their chips, but their replies on these google reviews are extremely unprofessional and the food looks far from good authentic mexican food. I’m sure the only reason they have been in business that long is because they operate in an area where the locals haven’t had good mexican food and dont know any better. Food was delicious! Had plenty of leftovers I & another guest brought home. I personally had the combination dinner & it was absolutely delicious! I never knew I liked enchiladas until I had one tonight. With the dinner you get a 1/2 order of chips & salsa, we asked for hot (in black cup) & mild (in white cup). Everything was delicious.

Really wish the food was better, very friendly service and had high hopes. All of our meals were lacking flavor or anything enjoyable. They filled us up and that was about it. Seems more like a traditional restaurant rather than a Mexican restaurant.

Went on Monday – Juneteenth- the super taco with chicken was terrible – the chicken was just rotesserie chicken with no seasoning finely chopped and shoved into an oversize taco shell. The three enchiladas with cheese and onions was dreadful. The cheese was about 1/4″ thick and disguised the blandness of the underlying enchiladas. The refried beans and rice were pretty good. Overall – my first and last visit to this establishment was a resounding disappointment!
