A comfortable, spacious country French space that feels like something that’s been unchanged for decades but not worn. Great wine list and wines by the glass. Started with the daily appetizer special with scallops accompanied by a nice Sancerre, followed with the calf sweetbreads which were delicious. We shared a couple of desserts where the chocolate cake with Grand Marnier stood out for me which they referred to as their 40 year favorite. Very nice experience. I would give it 4.5 stars across the board and look forward to coming back to try other dishes.

Food was perfect. I’m subtracting one star because the seating was covered in food droppings and wasn’t cleaned up which was gross. The decorations and piano were nice, and so was the coat check. Glad there was space available in their parking lot. Service was adequate.

Haven’t been back here in 20years. Enjoyed the experience. Allegedly needed reservations for Saturday night in September but saw plenty of empty tables when we arrived at 8pm. None of which filled up while we were there.
The service was decent, food was on point tonight. I enjoyed the rabbit mushroom terrine and the seared duck breast (both pictured).
Good wine selection and even the dessert, pumpkin bread pudding, was good.
When we were last here all those years ago, we had poor service, mediocre food and the place had seen better days.
After this visit, we will return and won’t wait 20years to do it.

Great atmosphere if you like a relaxing experience
with live piano music. Food was very good. I would not order the Dover sole again as it lacked taste and the texture was off (too soft). Cozy room with fireplace. Soufflé was perfect! Service was top notch. Parking is ample on the property. A neighborhood gem not to be missed for celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself anytime! Buon appetit!

This restaurant was an awesome date night experience: top notch service from coat check to all waiters and servers, beautiful interior and atmosphere, and of course delicious food! Filet mignon, the rockfish special, and souffle were so good and the lobster bisque was great, as well! Would definitely come back again, highly recommend!

Nice charming French restaurant in the heart of Chevy Chase. Good for a romantic date and for baguettes, souffles, and food overall. French onion soup was good, but I thought it was too pricy. I did not like the pate. Good service and nice ambiance rounds out the experience. However, this place is definitely for those who prefer a older feel to their ambiance, and have a deep pocket.

We had a wonderful family dinner here around Christmas time. This is such a charming restaurant! No, I can’t eat here every day, but it’s the perfect place for a special occasion. Service was professional and warm. Food was fantastic! We tried the French onion soup, lobster bisque, filet mignon, seafood pasta, seafood in pastry. All was beautiful and delicious! Highly recommend a visit here when you want to treat yourself.

What should have been a pleasant celebratory evening at La Ferme turned into one of the most unacceptable dining experiences we have ever had.
After our table had fully paid our bill, our waiter returned to aggressively confront us about the tip amount, insisting that the “suggested guidance” on the check was what we were required to pay. His tone was rude, confrontational, and completely inappropriate. No guest should ever be berated after settling their bill, and especially in what claims to be such a nice establishment.
We attempted to address the situation with the manager on duty, who did absolutely nothing. When we later contacted the general manager, we were met with the same dismissive, aggressive and defensive attitude. Instead of accountability, which is what is usually the reaction when owns a service industry business, he chose to defend unacceptable behavior.
This reflects a serious lack of professionalism, training, and respect for customers. We will never return and strongly caution others before supporting this establishment.
