My coworker bought me lunch from here. You get great portion sizes here. Two meals were $21. Cant beat that. The rice and beans with stew meat and beans and fried plaintains were amazing. I highly recommend the chicharron!!! They deliver on time to.

Gave two becuz idk at least they tried..idk if they have new owners but I ordered a platter of fried meats and tostones in Spanish (una fritura) and it was nasty, the chicken was soggy and slimy and the other fried meats tasted burnt and like they were fried in days old oil…this spot was a hood classic a hole in the wall gem and it fell off so badly I will never order this for a game night again.

I grew up going to lafe as a child. I moved out of states for a few years and came back. I decided to come back to get a plate of my favorite meal. The three ladies looked at me funny and spoke about me in Spanish, making fun of my order . This alone made me uncomfortable . Not only that , the rice was half hard but overall lukewarm,and the beans was watery and cold . I am sorry Lafe, but the spices didn’t even taste the same . The food it self didn’t even taste fresh. Unfortunately i will not come back. God bless !

I am one of those who read the comments of the places, and I can say that very few speak badly of this place. Not everyone has the same experience, but I will tell you mine. I visited the restaurant twice because they cook very well. The food has an excellent seasoning, the portion for a person who eats a lot is perfect, and moderate. But if you are a light eater, one lunch is enough for 2. The restaurant says so, La Fe, I can attest that the food here is delicious. And because of the language, the girls who work there are probably not fluent in English, which may have confused those who say they were treated with racism. At least in my experience the service was good.
Just a recommendation, it would look nicer inside with new tables and a little more decoration. The rest is excellent.

The service is good. The ladies are nice, but the food is made too many days ahead leaving you to have to eat all u buy that same day or it’ll be spoiled a few hours later or the next day. Even in the fridge. Sorry LaFe, not gonna lie.

Nasty! I use to love it but it is nasty. I drove over 2 hours from my Atlantic City visit just to get it and it was over priced and disgusting. The lady that served me chopped the damn 1/4 chicken up with the tongs and turned it into a shredded mess. I come to Paterson once every 3 years or so just to get LA FE but I will not be going back. 0 stars I do not recommend.

I paid 53 ask for 3 lunch order and they put everything separately was stingy as hell wit the food and the food was nasty ordered fried pork chops was under cooked and wasn’t seasoned yea no never again wasn’t worth it
