This was a perfect breakfast spot. We were able to be seated right away, service was incredibly fast, and the food was perfect.
When we travel so much, it is great to run across such a great experience. The young lady who was serving our table was awesome – attentive and not intrusive… exceptionally polite. And, from what I observed, all the staff appeared to be the same. Kudos to the team that manages the team… clearly you’re doing it right.
Specifically to the meal – the coffee was exactly what I was hoping for…lighter and perfect. The eggs were cooked exactly as ordered, and the pancakes beat any of those “international” establishments by a mile. The food was served surprisingly quick.
Thank you again for the great meal. Please pass out compliments to the staff.

American Pancake House delivers exactly what you want from a classic breakfast spot, and it does it exceptionally well. We came in for breakfast and coffee, and the experience felt like stepping into a true American diner in the best possible way. The food was simple, familiar, and done right — hearty breakfast plates served hot, satisfying, and without unnecessary fuss. The coffee was solid and paired perfectly with the meal, the kind you can comfortably linger over while enjoying the atmosphere.
Service was excellent and very much in line with what you hope for at a place like this. It was friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming, without ever feeling rushed or distracted. The staff clearly knows how to keep things moving while still making guests feel taken care of, which adds a lot to the overall experience.

I ordered 2 over medium eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast and coffee. My eggs were under cooked as faslr as the egg whites but over cooked on the edges. The griddle was way to hot for eggs. My bacon was like rubber. Every time we stop here the food has been great, not this time. Maybe next time.

We stopped in because South Bend is halfway between our house and my parents.
It will now be a required stop on every future trips.

We split the Dutch apple pancake and the butcher’s omelet.
The Dutch apple takes a bit to bake, but so worth it (no syrup required, even with my sweet tooth).
And I’m still trying to figure out how they got the omelet that light and fluffy.
The picture is half of the pancake and half the omelet (minus a bite, I was really hungry)
Plus, omlet came with fresh fruit and very good cinnamon raisin toast (no upcharge).

Ordered biscuits and gravy, triple berry crepes and egg Benedict. The biscuit and gravy was delicious, the crepe was alright but presentation messy. Egg Benedict was not good. Server Jessica had no personality or customer service skills. Food not worth the price, Go to top notch instead!!!

This is one of those breakfast places that seems unbeatable. Our server (Juliana) was excellent. Our breakfast came out hot and extremely tasty. Coffee was hot, not bitter and the cup did not run dry for me. I had the country Benedict and it was wonderful. My wife enjoyed her Mediterranean omelette and cinnamon French toast. We also tried banana foster with the French toast and that was excellent! This place that you will want to eat at!

Visited on a Monday around 11:00 AM. The menu had so many items it was diffucult to choose. Once we finally picked, the food came out quickly and the servings were HUGE. My side of pancakes was two large pancakes. The omelette with avocado and jalepeno was delicious.
The staff was very kind and helpful.
