Iv had the Super Burrito several times here now, Its my favorite! They have a great atmosphere, and they keep their business very clean. I was impressed with the Staff, and how professional, and tidy they kept themselves. Very Polite, friendly, and fast service!

Great made from scratch food with a really good selection. Service is always top notch. One of those restaurants where you can order anything off the menu and have a great meal, with good portion sizes. The atmosphere is low key and casual, very clean and nice lighting.

Update Feb 14, 2026: We’re back for more. The food was excellent. They’ve updated the interior and covered the outdoor eating area. It looks great!
Update Feb 2, 2024: We came with a large group tonight. Our waitress did a great job of getting our orders and keeping our chips and drinks filled. The food came out hot and fresh. We had a great time.
Our server was very friendly and kept our table topped off with drinks. The food came out fast, fresh, and hot! I had the La Crema Enchiladas and my boyfriend had the Super Burrito. Both portions were plenty for us to make two meals out of and the prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed our visit to the La Familia Cedaredge location.

We came here for my husbands birthday and everything was wonderful. The owner personally served us along with our waitress. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. They even brought out sopapillas for my husband. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!

I cannot understand why it has a 4.3 rating. This is for sure one of the best Mexican restaurants in western Colorado. To top it off it is in the small town of Cedaredge. The staff is friendly and very fast. The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is absolutely top quality and authentic. Tamales are delicious. Grilled chicken and beef have a wonderful smoky, Spanish flavor. The only complaint I could have is that the horchata is made from a mix, but seriously everything cannot be perfect. I will definitely be coming back. If you are passing through cedaredge stop here!!!

This is our second trip to La Familia. They have a variety of menu selections to satisfy just about anyone craving the taste from south of the border. The carne asada is seasoned and cooked perfectly. Not a plate of chewy gristle and fat. I ordered the Tacos de Asada, my wife ordered a pork tamale and the nachos fries. They made it home for some later midnight snack. The portions are plentiful for even the heartiest of eaters. The tamale was a fantastic balance of flavor, meat and masa. The atmosphere is more casual country cabin vs a way over done Mexican theme. During more seasonal times they have a huge patio seating area, complete with a kids playground, right above Surface Creek; so you can listen to the soothing sounds of the creek, get lost peering out into the woods and enjoy a fine meal with excellent service.

Honestly some of the absolute *best* Mexican food I’ve had in all of Colorado. Very authentic. Amazing flavor profiles. Not greasy or oily at all. I’ve lived in the Denver area for 7 years and am always disappointed by the fact there is isn’t much quality authentic Mexican food, everything is covered in green chili sauce and lacking flavor. But this place is top notch. Andres, the server and host, is extremely friendly and helpful. The ambiance feels like a charming American Diner. They also have a great patio with a view of the river. We had the Guacamole and a couple different types of fajitas and everything was phenomenal. The rice and beans are addictive. Will definitely be back here when visiting the area in the future. 10/10 would recommend.

I was immensely impresse by the amount of food provided for a decent price. Far more impressive than the level of food quantity provided in New York. Was a little annoyed with the servicer but it was not too much an annoyance. The food was a lot and delicious. Enough for leftovers for the next day as snacks.
