I’m giving it 4 stars as I only had the papusas and nothing else. They were good especially the mixed one. If you get the chicken and cheese I recommend to add jalapeños. They delivered to the brewery next door which is also good. Even my picky son loved the papusas and ate one to himself. I recommend this spot.

Tasty pupusas are their specialty. Highly recommend this place to experience this treat!

We tried some good fresh food at this Salvadoran restaurant. We went for the love of Tamales, but they were sold out( we went in late afternoon) . However, we ordered “ Camarones en Crema o Al Mojo de Ajo / Shrimp On Cream or Garlic Style“ and “ Pollo Encebollado / Chicken with Onions” – Just delicious! Family friendly, good ambience and friendly staff!

This place is lovely. It smells wonderful, clean and light mixed with delicious food. I love the papusas, of course. But the crunch and perfectly mild spice of the empanada accompanied by the tangy sweet Jimaca juice made my evening.

I think the food is good and the spicy salsa was the best

Very tasty pupusas! I ordered chicken and cheese, which were fresh and delicious. Spacious diner atmosphere, family friendly place. The server didn’t speak English, so my order was wrong. I got an extra pupusa – not such a bad mistake! I think the sauce could have a little more flavor. It was a bit watery compared to others I have had. We’ll be back!

I visited this restaurant while my son had a baseball game nearby. The place is very clean, and the restrooms are well-maintained. However, I’m giving it one star for three reasons:
1. I ordered 8 pupusas but was not given any plates or enough napkins, despite confirming my order. When I asked the manager about it, he said they don’t provide plates unless requested. Really? If someone orders a party tray, you should supply enough napkins and plates. It seems he expects us to eat the pupusas with our hands or on napkins.
2. The sweet plantains were under-ripe and appeared to be fried in old oil, which was disappointing.
3. The pupusas were mediocre, and they used mozzarella cheese, which is not authentic.
Unfortunately, I won’t be returning due to this experience. I hope the owner takes this feedback to make improvements.

Best Pupuseria on the other side of the bridge. Made me feel at home. Wish I had photos but the pupusas were gone in about a minute.

In a sea on fancy, overpriced downtown hair salons, law offices, and bougee restaurants, La Esperanza is a beacon of hope for someone craving some Latino food!! The price point works for a quick lunch. I ordered delivery and I was happy that they wrapped the plate with foil so it didn’t get all soggy once you add the slaw.

I have ordered delivery multiple times from this place and it’s been a hit or miss with them. The two most recent times I ordered from here I waited over an hour and a half and had to call in for them to tell me they thought my order was a pick up and so it had just been sitting there. I received semi cold food. The other time they delivered an incomplete order. I called back that night and had no choice but to leave a message. I never got a call back. I called again in the morning and again was told to leave a message that I would receive a call back. I called again in the afternoon and the lady who answered was annoyed and just handed the phone off to someone else who told me I could come by and pick up the the items that I had ordered the previous day after arguing that I did receive them because they marked it in their system. He must have spoken to the delivery person because he quickly changed his tune. When I expressed that I wanted to be reimbursed for the items I was told to come in and pick up the money instead of them reimbursing it into my card. Overall extreme unsatisfied with their service.
