We just moved into the neighborhood and gave La Doña a try. Wow!! Such good food. We can’t wait to return and try more from the large menu.
They start you off with complementary chips, red salsa and warm bean dip. We ordered the Choriqueso appetizer and DANG, that was a great choice! It was like an elevated 7 layer bean dip, served hot – the perfect mixture of stringy melted cheese, chorizo, pinto beans, and all the accompaniments! They forgot to bring our tortillas but the chips were delicious with it and it was no issue.
We shared the Expresso Burrito, also delicious and came out FAST!! There is so much more we want to try and there is no doubt we will return.
Our server seemed to be the only one for the night but he hustled and checked in often. The atmosphere is beautiful with gorgeous booths, terracotta tiled floors and a nice water feature. They were also getting decorated for Christmas which was nice! Can’t wait to return. Thank you La Doña for the delicious food and welcoming space!
I’d also like to add – they put the drinks and appetizers on the first page of the menu which is very smart and didn’t go unnoticed!

I have tried nearly all Mexican restaurants in Spokane, and this one is by far the most delicious and authentic! The huevos rancheros and chilaquiles were delicious. The champurrado and the atole were absolutely amazing and exactly how I remember from Mexico! They paired incredibly with the pan dulce! Staff were also very friendly and with excellent service. I will definitely come back to try the gorditas! Thank you so much!

Amazing restaurant on the south hill, I’ve been looking for the best chile relleno in Spokane, very tough contenders but this restaurant has won my #1 spot. Very affordable, fresh, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I love that my relleno had a spicy kick to it as well, but did not ruin the flavor or burn my tongue. The restaurant is beautiful, and had comfortable, easy seating. The waitress we had was one of a kind, very personable and friendly. Will be coming back here weekly.

Food was not up to the standard. The tacos were oil fried and dripping oil literally. The taco salad was bland, without any guacamole or beans. Never had a taco salad this bland

We went on a Saturday around 3:00-3:30. We were seated pretty quickly. After ordering, food came in about 40-something minutes, and it was also pretty disappointing. It looked like it was pretty understaffed; there was only one lady serving and hosting. I don’t know about the kitchen. During our experience, we were never asked how it was, nor did anyone come back to check on us. The food was pretty bland, not a lot of seasoning, and everything was pretty dry, like it was not as fresh as other places.

Best old world Mexican food in our area. We love their food. Rosie, Jose, Julie and Cesar are just down home good people and a welcome addition to our community. Do your taste buds a favor and stop in for a great meal with some really terrific staff who will easily become your friends! Seriously check out my chicken fajita salad.
