I’ve been trying to get here to try Chef Gabby’s food. Well, it was worth the wait. A perfect Sunday afternoon lunch. Starting with the chips and salsa, both delicious. The chips were fresh, thin, and crunchy, and the salsa had just the right amount of kick. Followed by a jalapeno infused Tequila margarita….delightfully refreshing and spicy. We had a variety of items from the menu, both vegan and not that were artfully prepared. A wonderful spin on the traditional with a modern flare. Get yourself there asap!

This was one of our first places we visited upon moving to San Diego and we are so glad we did. Complementary chips and salsa. The drinks were amazing, and our server Lucas was also great. We brought our dog with us and he was treated just as pleasantly as we were. The food is absolutely ASTOUNDING. We will be coming back and I suggest everyone else does too!

I love pretty much everything about this place. It has a chill half indoor and half outdoor seating area that is just so cute. The decor makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a trendy little place in Mexico. I love that you can bring your dog here! That’s a big plus for me. The service was excellent, I never felt like I was searching for my server and she always greeted us with a smile. The food was absolutely fantastic! Modern Mexican flavors that combine to make lovely dishes that fill your tummy and your heart. I would highly recommend this restaurant; it’s perfect for a quick bite to eat or hanging out with friends and watching the game. I will definitely be coming back.

The taco u should get is the shrimp one. It’s superb. It’s yummy. You will not be disappointed. The place was nice. The ambiance is very homey. The parking fee is the only downside it was $12 per hour lol. I guess it’s San Diego that’s why.

I heard good things about La Dona from a friend and decided to stop in while doing a little brunch crawl around OB. The drinks are delicious. I had a fall spice margarita and I didn’t really know what to expect but it was so good. Also, I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy and there was a little spice. I can’t wait to stop in for dinner soon!

This is now my most favorite authentic Mexican restaurant in San Diego. The drinks and food were amazing. The chips and salsa, sounds normal, top notch. I got the adobada tacos, so good. Also the beans and rice was so delicious and flavorful.

Very nice Mexican restaurant. The Dona guacamole is great. The tacos are excellent. Some of the dishes are spicy but not unbearable. The patio has umbrellas, so it’s good year- round.

Love the food and the helpful waiters there. Super dog friendly place .. lots of tables with kids (including babies) and dogs in the backyard bit while there were also people watching sports on TV indoors. Great family restaurant vibe!
