Menu stated 3 courses, steak was extra. We were then made to share the steak between two, even though it says recommended to share. We were both then also made to pay the extra £ charge. So X2 charge and one less main. It came with two oven potatoes and some boiled peppers. Total bill £110. Starters were also awful. Croquettes overcooked and tartare was grey and chewy. Left feeling totally scammed. Unfortunately it does seem like the owners have changed and I hate to review on a new owner giving it a shot, but this is clearly their first experience cooking and at that price you expect good food.

Went to La Dolce Vita this past weekend.
A lovely time celebrating a birthday.
The food was absolutely delicious but the portions were a bit on the small side for my appetite.The service was very good even though we were looked after by a young man on his second only day working there. Very efficient and attentive but not so we felt overwhelmed with attention.
A lovely atmosphere And we really enjoyed.

We had a wonderful experience at La Dolce Vita. From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly, welcoming and genuinely hospitable. A lovely touch was the chef coming out personally to ask if we were enjoying the food – something you don’t see often and which really added to the experience.
The food was excellent: served piping hot, full of flavour, made with fresh ingredients and very reasonable portions. There was absolutely no hint of anything being microwaved – everything tasted freshly prepared and cooked with care.
The restaurant itself was clean, well organised and beautifully presented. One thing worth mentioning is that the outside appearance is quite deceiving – once you step inside, the restaurant is larger than you’d expect.
A fantastic dining experience all round. We’ll definitely be returning and would happily recommend La Dolce Vita to anyone visiting Mumbles.

I have been to Dolce Vida twice this week, 1st time in a group of 4 and last night in a large party. The food was delicious on each occasion. Taste, quality and presentation were excellent. Nikita, Kevin and Daniel were absolute lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going back soon

Unfortunately, my dish didn’t live up to expectations. I ordered the Truffle Chicken Mushroom, but there was no truffle flavour at all. The sauce was far too watery, and the pasta was seriously overcooked. My friend had the tiramisu, which was also disappointing – it was too runny and soaked in far too much coffee. Overall, it was a poor experience for a so-called “Italian” restaurant. The only positive point was the warm and friendly service from the staff, but sadly that wasn’t enough to make up for the rest.

We went in tonight for the first time tonight. The food was absolutely incredible and the service amazing. The wine was truly wonderful. The chef even made me a vegetarian dish that wasn’t on the menu. My partner loved his lamb shank. We were too hungry and tired to take photos, but the food was Instagram worthy. Definitely the best restaurant in the Mumbles. Thank you!

Dined November 2024. Delicious food, probably the best mussels I’ve had in a long time. The staff was friendly without over-doing it. Cosy atmosphere. Which also means it’s a little tight. Suitable for romantic dinners rather than group outings. Highly recommend if same chef/owners as then.
