La Dolce Vita PGH is a new, authentic Italian gem in the South Side that’s an absolute must-visit. Every dish is crafted with the freshest ingredients, and you can truly taste the care put into each plate. Start your experience with a cocktail from their full bar—they offer tons of spritz flavors and an excellent wine selection. We couldn’t resist trying three antipasti since they all sounded amazing, and they didn’t disappoint. The burrata, bruschetta, and arancini were packed with fresh, fun flavors and beautifully prepared. We also sampled the caprese salad and spinach salad—both outstanding. The spinach salad was a surprise standout with its perfect balance of sweet and savory. Bonus points for offering both half and full-size salads. For the main course, ordering from the house-made pasta section is a must. The caprese pasta was a standout, and the spinach ravioli was absolutely to die for. Adding grilled chicken took it to the next level. To finish, we indulged in the tuxedo chocolate cake and cannoli’s, which were the perfect sweet ending. From start to finish, the entire experience was fabulous—thanks to the attentive wait staff and truly incredible cuisine.

Homemade, delicious food. The pizza is fantastic – best pizza on the Southside; they make the dough in house daily. Pasta bolognese has incredible depth of flavor. Arancini ball apps were perfectly done. Creamy and delicious inside, crunchy breaded on the outside. Others at our table loved their meals too – chicken parm and chicken piccata.

Food and drinks were fantastic! We went for dinner and enjoyed the Tagliatelle Bolognese and the Traditional pizza with hot capicola. For cocktails we had the espresso martini, green tea cosmo, and the fruit and root. Ended with the tiramisu which was outstanding, loved how soaked in espresso the lady fingers were

Really a great meal! Food was delicious! The arancini and meatballs were fantastic. I love the red sauce. Entrees were delicious as well. Chavely, our server, was truly wonderful — friendly, personable, attentive, sweet and very good at her job. The space is welcoming and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Picked up some calamari and chicken piccata for takeout dinner tonight – ate it WAY too fast to take a picture! Was super fresh! Still HOT when I got home to Dormont area. Calamari had a wonderful dipping sauce, delish Piccata was perfectly balanced & sharable alongside an appetizer. Will definitely be coming back to dine in for the sit down experience soon.

Was not used to the layout of the restaurant, but it ended up being a very cozy experience! The server was fantastic, and my fiancé loved the chicken Alfredo (hard to impress her with that, because she makes a phenomenal Alfredo herself). I got the special, Steak Pizzaoila (pardon me if it was spelled wrong) but it was also fantastic. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys Italian food and wine!

For those familiar with Lucca in Oakland, this seems to be the same menu just at a new location. Our server tonight was very friendly, and the chicken gnocchi was excellent. Also loved the chocolate bombe dessert. We brought our 10 month old baby, and the restaurant was accommodating and had the high chair setup before we arrived. Will be going back. Book on Open Table for 1000 points.

Food was very good. Calamari was excellent. The lemon aoli that comes with it is really good .. Arancini as well as the meatballs were very good . Ravioli was good and the deconstructed lasagna was excellent. Only thing we liked but didn’t love was the vodka sauce . The girls working were very friendly. We will go back !!

La Dolce Vita is the real deal in Italian. It’s not pricey, but the food is just darn good and scratch made, and they really pay attention to the details. For instance in the pizza, which is probably the South Side’s best, the crust is pillowy and actually tastes like bread, but with a nice crackery outside. They care enough to use cherry tomatoes in the winter, not sandy Florida ones, nor canned. And the Tuscan Pasta has a little hint of mustard that kicks it over the top. You know the pasta is handmade when just one twirled spagehetti strand fills up your fork. That’s good eatin! And the staff is fantastic too. We’re coming back often, and you should too.
