Top quality dinner with friends. From the warm and friendly greeting, to the relatively small and cozy space itself, the meal experience here is top class and relaxed. All the food was very fresh and very tasty. The salmon was amongst the best I’ve had. Was lucky enough to sample my friends’ dishes and can attest to the pork, the Romana salad and the Cazuela being equally sensational. Capped things off with the Capirotada, the perfect end to the meal. Cocktails were as good as the food. Creative and tasty, with a good variety of tastes for everyone. Service was perfect. Parking can be a little dicey, but that’s the only concern. A very highly recommended restaurant.

Absolutely superb dining experience. We’re still talking about it a week later so I had to write up a review.

We walked in last Saturday with a party of 5 no reservation (our bad) but they sat us almost immediately at the bar, which we loved! The bartender, Dylan, made us each some great cocktails and took our food orders carefully, as we had some allergies in the group, but he was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us navigate. See photo for the absolutely diabolically delicious tacos. Also heard from my friend that the Mole was to die for. We ended the night with tequila shots and then were on our merry way after a fantastic start to the evening, thanks to La Dama. Anywho, we loved it and would highly recommend!! Thank you La Dama!!!

La Dama was an amazing experience! My friends and I showed up without a reservation, and the staff was nice enough to let us take over their bar seating. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, from the margarita to the guac. My entree, the Pollo en Mole Verde, was a truly unique and creative dish that I’ve never had something close to before. Would highly recommend if you are in the area and are willing to spend a little extra for some amazing food!

The best dinner I’ve had in a long time. I live 3 blocks away and took way too long for this first visit. Everything was excellent, the food, drinks, service, price, atmosphere. Ill be back sooner than later. That pork belly elote with bone marrow was exquisite. The Grilled Shrimp in a tomatillo Habenero brown butter with avocado was heavenly. I can see this place could get busy and crowded but we dined on a Friday at 530 and had the place almost to ourselves.

La Dama is a beautiful spot with a warm vibe, a great back patio, and a menu full of thoughtful flavor. We came on a Tuesday and definitely recommend it — $5 margaritas and $5 off guac were a nice bonus and a great way to kick things off!

The guacamole was super fresh with radish and tomato for a little texture – simple, clean, and well-seasoned. The margs were solid too, not too sweet at all.

The real standout was the Salmon Encrustado… perfectly cooked, juicy, and paired with beet purée and hibiscus reduction that actually brought the whole dish together. Would 100% order again.

The Cochinita Pibil had a beautiful presentation, but flavor-wise, it just didn’t stand out. Not bad, just not memorable.

I appreciated how accommodating the kitchen was with my food allergies on the Cazuela de Repollitos y Hongos. The flavors were great – especially the pomegranate and chimichurri! the dish was a little too oily for my taste but tasty nonetheless-the-less.

We also tried the birria tacos, which were definitely tasty — super flavorful — but $21 for three tacos felt hard to justify, even in a higher-end setting.

Service was a highlight — our server was incredible: friendly, attentive, and even surprised my friend with a birthday dessert

Overall: La Dama delivers on experience! great staff, beautiful atmosphere, and solid food with a few standouts. On the pricier side, but worth checking out, especially if you go on a Tuesday.

Great drinks. Great food. Great night!

Really creative food dishes that surprised and delighted us.

Pan roasted sea bass with green rancheros sauce and puréed creamed corn was delicious.

I love it when the food comes out so hot it burns your tongue. It’s not had because the kitchen is so close to the restaurant – it’s behind the bar.

Went for dinner last night — and had an awesome time! Service and atmosphere were top notch. We sat on the patio and it was beautiful and comfortable. Started with drinks, guacamole, and queso fundido and all of them were excellent. I chose tacos for dinner and they were flavorful, and the homemade tortillas were great! We were too full for dessert, but we are already planning our return!

Top notch. Can’t wait to come back.
Update: I couldn’t wait to come back. I returned and it’s just as good on the second visit. Staff even remembers you! This place delivers every time. Just exceptionally well prepared food. A clear cut above your standard fare elsewhere. I can’t recommend this place enough. Don’t think any longer. Just go. Any bad reviews sounds like the were ninny’s. This is my new favorite spot in Milwaukee.

This was an excellent meal. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate. I couldn’t decide what I wanted to eat for so long because the whole menu sounded incredible. The salmon was unlinked anything I’d ever tasted before and I appreciate the recommendation by our server. I’m already planning my next visit back to La Dama so I can try another incredible dish.

First time at La Dama, but it’s been on our list for a while. We have been trying to keep up with the many new restaurants that have opened in Milwaukee, and this has been one of the best, all around experiences! So glad that we stopped and will definately be back.

Had a 6:00 reservation on a Saturday night. Got seated right away. We had a few choices, inside, outside or a little spot right at the end of the bar, which we took. Turned out to be a very good choice in seating.

The bartender was our server, and he did an incredible job the entire night. (Thanks Aton) And we got a great view of the work in the micro-kitchen on the other side. All the staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient.

We started with a couple of drinks, a Margarita and Old Fashioned. Each of them was a unique blend of ingredients with a seasoned salt along the rim. Also placed a order of their guacamole which was fresh, tastely and inventive. Who puts Pomegrate seeds in Guac! So unique and yummy!

We order a combination of Tacos, Grilled Shrimp, and Octopus. Each of them was fresh, hot, flavorful, and inventive (there’s that word again).

It’s a small place, with an even smaller kitchen. The entire staff was working hard to make and serve. You should plan according, and give yourself 1.5 hrs, so as to not feel rushed.

We will definately be back, and maybe save room for dessert. And maybe try the beautiful outdoor patio too.
